This is Not Naptime || Henry & Eric
It had only been a few minutes since Eric's shouting had rang in the coffeehouse. As it was a ritual every Monday night, Eric had come with a pre-prepared speech, and had stood calmly at the front of the room. As usual, the speech quickly derailed, ending in shouting and passion and Eric standing on a table. This week, racism had been his gambit. He'd been particularly annoyed at the citizens of Pageson this week due to having been witness to a racist display. Once again, Pageson citizens had thrown a whole slump of racist terms and phrases at another resident. It was ridiculous.
The only 'positive' thing that came out of this onslaught (if there was such a thing) was that he had material to work from this week. However, he was still fuming, and even shouting at the Government hasn't gotten rid of it all. Wandering off from his stance on the table, Eric collected the book he'd been reading earlier, which was plopped on a table near by.
Sighing, he began to walk away. Then, something caught his eye. There was a boy dozing on a table. Somehow, through all of Eric's shouting, he'd managed to fall asleep. Eric's face curled into something akin to a scowl. While the fact that he'd fallen asleep with all of the noise, Eric was furious with this boy. How dare he sleep through Eric's speech? Nope, he was going to pay. With one deliberate movement, he dropped his book on the table. It landed close to the boy's head with a loud 'thump'.
