starting block of reunions!

It was just another Saturday morning for Haru, and after his morning bath and after he’d made his breakfast (grilled mackerel on toast), watered the garden, and fed the cats around the neighborhood what remained of his breakfast, Haru was ready to go to the Newstark Community Center. Of course, he had to take the train to get there, but the nearest station wasn’t far from home--he’d only have to walk about five minutes’ time.
On the weekends, Haru would get his daily swim quota fulfilled at the NCC, unless the swim club had one of its rare weekend practices, but it was as he was gathering what he needed into a bag that he heard the doorbell ring.Â
... And I was just about ready to leave, too. Maybe he should just finish grabbing his stuff before heading down, opening the door to whoever it was, and telling them that he was actually getting ready to leave. He wasn’t expecting anyone, or any sort of deliveries, so he might as well do just that. As he turned to fold up his jammer of choice, he heard the doorbell ring again. And again. And again, in rapid succession.
There weren’t many people who would do that.Â
Nagisa, maybe, but Nagisa would also call out to him, if he didn’t just walk in and make himself at home after learning from Makoto that his back door was always open. The only other person it could be was....
Haru went downstairs and opened the door.
“Rin?”Â
He knew it had to be Rin, but at the same time... it had been months since the last time he’d seen Rin, after he went off to train in order to pursue his Olympic dreams. He’d gotten letters from Rin (and had sent some in response), but... he didn’t say anything about visiting now, especially at this time of year. Haru couldn’t help but wonder why Rin could possibly be here, right now, as he took in his presence.Â
