september- would you rather be inside or outside? Depends on the season, but probably inside because I’m a weakling introvert

The first time I made eye contact with her

It itched, just like rolling in summer grass

It was freeing and warm, but very unsettling

Her smile was just as bright and warm 

In summer the grass was sharp, leaving my skin mottled with a million tiny cuts

Her gaze was the same

But her voice, her voice was like the smooth clover that I preferred to walk in

Her touch was gentle, like bending willows and monarch kisses

Even in the winter, she’d flit into view and be the color in the desolation

She was grass, and was summery and winter color

Maybe I should’ve worried when she would be cut down

But all I could think about 

2- talk about your first kiss? It was the night of fall formal, so like October 17th or something. My girlfriend and I were all dressed up and I had wandered away from the ballroom and had found this glorious piano and so I sat down, and was playing what I could, I think I started with Black Parade but shifted into Strauss later bc I can’t play MCR. Anyway, I wandered the hotel, piano to piano, and she followed me, and later stole my heels because my feet were killing me, but she wouldn’t give them back unless I ‘did a thing’ which was her way of saying she wanted a kiss but was too shy to say it outright. Well, I didn’t do it because the bus came and we had to run down like three flights of stairs and get on the bus to make it back to campus safely. So later, we’re in my room, I think I changed to polar bear pajama pants and Violent Femmes shirt, and I was playing FOB or Panic! on my laptop, and she was still in her suit and we were talking about putting a movie on, I can’t remember what it was maybe I wanted to make her watch The Crow. We were cuddling, or more accurately, she was buried under my blankets, loosely wrapping her arms around my waist and I was kind of hugging her shoulders and we were talking and something was said and she rolled over and kissed me. It was quick and like a peck or something, and we decided to try again. We stopped after the third one because it was weirding me out and making me sick, and I rolled over and refused to explain it to her because I didn’t want to hurt her feelings, so I said that I didn’t want my roommate to come in to find us making out because she’d never let us live it down.

8- talk about the thing you’re most proud of? As in possession? Uh, I have no idea. Maybe my Goodnight Moon champagne, I got it for being the ASM for the show. Sarah, the lighting director made it for me, and I almost cried because it means a lot to me, it sits on my desk in a place of honor. If you mean something I ever did, oh god this is stupid, I’m really proud that I wrote something that Neil Gaiman appreciated on his birthday, and he liked my status.

14- talk about a vacation? I never actually really went on a vacation. My dad took me to the beach once, but I barely remember it. The sand was scorching and I don’t remember getting in the water at all. I collected shells. We set up a tent on the beach to sleep, and we did this after it got dark which wasn’t bright but whatever. We ate Domino’s pizza and a DQ blizzard for supper, because he’s kinda ridiculous and counts that as good stuff. We saw Cape Hatteras, which is like fucking huge to a nine year old. I wanted to climb it, but he said no because he couldn’t do it with me. We stopped somewhere on the way back from the beach and got a box of saltwater taffy, which to this day, is probably my favorite rare treat. I liked the melon flavor best, and the peppermint ones are so nasty oh my god. I also got to learn about Corolla Island, which is an island of nothing but wild horses, and I thought that was the coolest thing ever.
