Garou definitely drew fanart of his favorite monsters as a kid. It wasn’t very good, but he enjoyed it, until other kids saw and couldn’t figure out why he didn’t draw the “cool” characters

After that he didn’t spend much time deliberately drawing, but he was a chronic doodler in school. All his notes were bordered by swords and bugs and heads with horns. He got some worried questions from teachers in middle school, but it only made him keep his doodles to stuff they wouldn’t see.

As far as fine art, Garou likes the surreal stuff like Bosch and Dali. Pictures that have more and more detail the closer you look. He appreciates the skill it takes to do stuff like oil paintings, but he cares more about what’s in them than how they were done.

I’m dying because I remember you talking about this before when I had my writing stream last year MAYBE EVEN LONGER and it cracked me up.

I wouldn’t be surprised if I even said the same damn thing literally word for word. I am doomed to repeat myself!!! It’s just so funny to me because I was so chill and positive about it like oh hmm! the audio, let’s listen and see how i fe- aaaAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

9: what, if anything, do you do for inspiration?

I do a lot of staring out the window. Music also helps me a lot. Also I’ve read that reading the last sentence of your work and then getting up and doing mundane things like laundry or chores will help with inspiration and it’s been true for me thus far.

I search “writing prompts” or “dialogue prompts” here on Tumblr and I pick ones that I like and work off those.

I had to make a Dadsona of my own. I’m pretty pumped to play that Dream Daddy game.
