I'm big on rituals and traditions. I know that's what I remember best from my childhood. Do you remember how cool it felt when you were little to drink out of a wine glass or better yet a champagne glass!!! I remember the experience very well as it was only ever at my aunts house when I would get to stay over there all alone and get spoiled with attention. As the oldest of 6 those sleepovers meant a lot to me. I could choose the movie, eat the popcorn as slowly as I wanted, drink soda from a fancy glass and just feel very special. In our home now we have brunch sometimes when Papa Chef is home for the day. We make muffins all together, squeeze fresh oj, and the girls get to pour themselves "cafe au laits" which is really just hot chocolate that they help froth and set out tiny child size mugs for. They absolutely love it and so do we.
