Panorama throwback. These photos are from 2016. I have memories of going to Panorama with my entire family, aunties, uncles, cousins since I was nine. I remember Allyson Brown in the North Stand on somebody cooler, Auntie Ven packing up Nicole and Neisha quick be cuz, they kept saying the North Stand full and if people doh leave it will collapse. Also Daddy fighting down the whole lime becuz he was the ONLY one supporting Phase II. The North Stand with chairs and the North Stand without chairs. * * Panorama prelims filled out the Savannah and was the liming day, and then Marge and Steve (Mommy and Daddy) would go on Carnival Thursday and sit in the Grand Stand with Auntie Jean and Uncle Clarence to listen. Carnival Saturday we were all home listening on the radio and Daddy would be taping on his cassettes. I still have them. I remember him picking me up at the airport I think in 1994 and we went straight to the Savannah to hear NuTones play High Mas. They tief first place from them of course. * * * After he passed Mom and I went for many years to the Grand Stand. Pelau, sweetbread, rum and coke, water. We learned to love the medium bands and we'd stay until 10 and take in the rest of the bands on the way home. * * * Needless to say I'm home and writing this post with Cordettes playing in the background. Marge is hanging with my sisters in Houston and Steve is 19 years passed this year. Carnival is not just crazy feting with friends and wining with strangers (was that just me 😊)....So many family memories tied up in it.
