HEY LONG TIME NO SEE
So I was missing all these babies and I felt it was time for a bit of a revamp.....also......some new additions
NEW KIDDIES:
Nitori Katsurou - Nitori and Momoâs kid. Earnest, hardworking much like Ai. Really he takes after Ai the most. Ai is thankful for that. They both try and keep Momo from causing too much trouble
Shiina Hinoko - Asahi and Kisumiâs feisty tomboy daughter. Kisumi 2.0 basically. Sheâs a volleyball player. Her tall frame and quick reflexes make her a talented middle blocker. Shows up at the Iwatobi girlsâ swim practices to flirt.Â

@aleishadreams and I were discussing this AU (specifically Sakurai/Umiko) on Twitter and decided to write a little collab fic exchange thing. I wrote the SR side, Ale wrote the MH side. You can find her fic HERE.
Just a note because I have a feeling people will ask me about this: Just because I wrote and enjoy SakUmi does not mean it is the âendgameâ ship in this AU. Iâm keeping it open because I like seeing you guys have fun and create things. I multiship my OCs.
âDadâŚâ Rin wasnât sure he liked the tone his son was using. It was serious, but meek in a way that meant that what he was about to say might not be something Rin approved of.
âYes, Sakurai?â Rin opted to reply casually with hopes of testing the waters. He calmly turned a page of his magazine as he spared a glance at his husband, who sat at the other end of the couch with Rinâs feet propped on his lap as he watched television. Rin could tell in the way his jaw was set and his eyes had stilled, that he was listening as well.
âHowâŚugh this is weirdâŚI was just wonderingâŚâ Sakurai stumbled over his words and when Rin looked up, he could see the faint blush on his sonâs cheeks. Rinâs neck prickled, this was going to be one of those conversations. He be lying if he said he wasnât interested.
âSakurai.â He said, setting the magazine down. âWhat did I tell you about waffling with your words like this? If you have something to say, then say it outright.â Sousukeâs lap twitched beneath Rinâs ankles. Rin immediately sat himself upright on the couch and hooked an arm through his husbandâs, keeping him trapped there. He then patted the now vacant space to his other side. âCome sit and tell us whatâs on your mind.â Sakurai hesitated, a hand reaching up to scratch at the nape of his neck in a gesture that made him look exactly like the man that Rin now held hostage in his seat. Rin watched as his son took a deep breath and squared his shoulders.
âDad, how did you and Pa get together?â Sousuke suddenly coughed loudly beside him as Rin stared at their son incredulously. He had been expecting a couple of things, but certainly not that.
âHah?â He let out before he could stop it. âWhat? Where is this coming from?â Sakurai shifted on his feet, face growing increasingly redder.
âI was just curiousâŚâ He muttered. âYou never talked about it and stuffâŚjust that you were best friendsâŚand then you got married.â Rin tightened his hold around his husband arm when he felt him squirm slightly.
âI thought you hated it when your Pa and I are being, and I quote, âgross and love-doveyâ.â
âYou are gross.â Sakurai quipped back, nose wrinkling slightly. âBut I donât hate it...whatever, just for now itâs fine. I wantâŚto knowâŚ?â His voice trailed off again in a pseudo-question laced with uncertainty. Rin pinned his son with a deadpan stare.
âWell, to spare you the âgrossâ details. Your Pa was an idiot, I was an idiot, we were idiots together until we finally pulled our heads out of our asses.â
âDaaaaaadâŚâ Sakurai whined. âThatâs not helpful at all.â
âWhat, now you want to know the gross details?â âUgh, no DadâŚJustâŚYou were best friendâs right? Howââ
âWhatâs the with the past tense? Weâre still best friends. Just because weâre married doesnât mean weâre not still best friends.â Sousuke snorted beside him and spoke for the first time since the conversation started.
âBest friends with some very nice extra benefits.â Rin smacked his husband in the arm. Sakurai groaned.
âUgh, Pa, really? You two are the worst.â Sakurai threw his hands in frustration. âI donât know why I bothered asking you two. Maybe I should ask Auntie Gou or somethingââ
âOk alright, weâre sorry.â Rin interjected, his pride rearing its head. âWhatâs up Sakurai? Whatâs really up?â Rin and Sousuke watched as their son snapped his jaw shut and his shoulders hunched up, face suddenly turning bright red.
âYou like someone.â Rin whipped around to stare at Sousukeâs resolute observation.
âWhat?â Rin demanded. âHow do you know that?â Then he quickly turned back to Sakurai. âReally?â Sakurai refused to meet his gaze, instead shoved his hands into the pockets of his sports jacket. âWho is it?â Rin then thought back to the conversation. Best friends. âOh my god, itâs Umiko.â Neither Rin nor Sousuke thought Sakuraiâs face could have turned redder, but their son did often make it a sport to prove them wrong, this time was no exception. They shared a glance and irritation crept within Rin at Sousukeâs rather smug expression. âI canât believe it.â Rin deadpanned. âWhere did I go wrong? My sonâs straightââ
âDADââ
âIâm kidding, Sakurai.â Rin finally grinned and he leaned forward to prop his chin on his hand. âSo? Does she know?â Sakurai folded his arms, hands tucked tightly under his armpits.
âWhy would I be talking to you if she did.â He mumbled. Rin watched him for a bit before he patted the seat beside him one more. This time, Sakurai complied and he collapsed heavily on the cushion beside his father. Sousuke reached over and ruffled his hair.
âFirst things first, Sakurai.â Rin began, arms crossing as he spoke. âCommunication is important. Tell her how you feel from the get go. Donât make the same mistake we did and dance around each other for months because it wastes a lot of time that could be spent happy and together.â Sakurai slouched further in his seat.
âI canât just say that, DadâŚâ
âI know itâs easier said than done, and I know the thoughts going through your head. What if she doesnât like me? What if it ruins our friendship? Right?â Sakurai nodded, dark red hair bobbing and his fringe tapping the top of his brows. âWell, youâll never find out if you donât ask. Donât be like your Pa and assume things.â He nudged a now sheepish looking Sousuke beside him. âAnd donât be a dense idiot like him either, who couldnât take a hint no matter hard I was trying to seduce him.â Sakurai groaned.
âDadâŚPleaseâŚI did not need that image...â
âOi, RinâŚâ Sousuke complained as well. Rin ruffled a hand through his sonâs hair.
âGo ask her out and tell her how you feel. I do warn you though, her parents are Makoto and Haru and who knows what kind of ridiculous relationship expectations both Umiko and Takumi have because of them. They probably think you should be able to read minds or something.â Sakurai couldnât help but laugh a bit like that.
âYeahâŚthey probably doâŚâ Rin and Sousuke snorted.
âFigures.â Rin mused, but then leaned over to press a kiss to the side of Sakuraiâs head. âJust be responsible, ok? And respect her. Women are terrifying if theyâre wronged. Give her what she deserves.â
âGot it, DadâŚthanks. Pa, too.â Sakurai heaved himself up off the couch and tapped his fist with both of his fathers before leaving the living room.
âI canât believe our babyâs growing up.â Rin wondered. âAnd of course he falls for his best friend. Guess the apple doesnât fall far from the tree.â Sousuke was silent for a moment before he spoke.Â
ââŚYou were trying to seduce me?âÂ
âOh my god.â Rin shoved his husband hard towards the end of the couch. âI canât believe you!â
