Not about question or something, but would you agree that palisman deserved better than being just pets? (By that sentence i meant something interesting, revealing and treated well with different narrative - or partly change of it)
I would absolutely love them to be actually important and more than "just pets", however tbh I can't come up with any ideas of how exactly it supposes to be. The only idea I can have is that the Palismans basically make the witches stronger and like give them "the next level" how it was in Winx and also that they're like sidekicks who have their own brains and always help the witches in their fights and etc, for what they definitely should have more screen time tho, cuz Flapjack and Owlbert are the one ones who's power we've seen enought
So yeah, I would like to see them having a better role, but tbh it is hard to make up this role so it was actually important, if you have any ideas, I would love to hear them!
Before Belos came to the Boiling Islands, palisman carving was common, meaning that witches- demons could actually have wands that suited them and reflected their personalities. Palisman trees were trees that witches could carve their ideas into and bring them to life. While Belos take over the islands, he destroy these trees as well as hindering the creative nature of wild magic. The young witches could no longer carve the reflection in their minds. They no longer have choices
I really hope the Bat Queen comes back for another palisman adoption day for the brainwashed coven scouts who lost theirs. I hope Hunter learns to carve, especially if it’s to carve palismans under the guidance of the Clawthornes. And I hope the palistrom wood can be taken care of and allowed to thrive under the protection and care of strong plant witches like Willow.

The Foster Palismans waiting to meet their newest member to hatch More Owl House: The Mighty Pinky Swear, Emperor Belos, Luz’s Palisman
COTC au, the equivalent to Belos' palisman snapping is that as part of his attempt to build over the creek, he also captures and cages various animals of the creek. Rascal spends time with the other animals of the creek pretty often, as well as with bat queen, and Hunter has to deal with keeping rascal hidden from Belos at home, and also the guilt of capturing what are most likely Rascals other bird friends and such. Luz wanted Rascal as her palisman originally, and so even though rascal is hunter's palisman, Rascal will still come by Luz and her friends area for the birdseed and company - 🌇
ohhh, definitely! Belos I imagine would send the pet-equivalent animals to the pounds or shelters, and the wild ones go to animal control and the like. Rascal is often the pesky little bird popping in to peck at peoples eyes when they try to take the other palismans, but it usually doesn't work as well as he wants it to
and, yeah, Hunter has some guilt about capturing Rascal's friends. It eventually started resulting in him feeling really bad for the other kids who lost their palismans because of him and Belos, because it was a heavy reminder of that happening with him and Rascal. It eventually resulted in him doing his best to sneakily break cages or 'accidentally' mess up a mission or 'just barely' miss catching the animals, and over time, the 'mess-ups' became more frequent. Wonder what'll happen when someone realizes he's messing up on purpose👀
He usually keeps Rascal out of the house because 1) wild bird and 2) he REALLY doesn't want Belos finding him. Rascal usually winds up perched in a nearby tree, and during a storm one night he opened his window and brought Rascal inside, so now the bugger pops in a few times a week and Hunter has to stash him under his bed or in drawers.
Hunter is absolutely Rascal's favorite, but he still likes the funky new girl and he friends, so Rascal will pop over on occasion for free seed and head scritches. Also, he may or may not be hoping that if both Hunter and Luz like him enough, they can come together over their mutual "we really like the little cardinal" and maybe be on better terms. He's a conniving little bird
We finally saw the Emperor of the Boiling Isles, and what we’ve seen is very concerning.
We know the Boiling Isles is composed of the body of a dead Titan:
Emperor Belos himself is in a chamber where the Titan’s heart is located (and the heart is BEATING).
When Lilith meets with the Emperor, the guy himself needed to juice up...by cracking open a Palisman:
