lux (RPG Maker Horror) - Demo | Flare Let’s Play:
Welcome to the demo of lux (dream girl), a surreal psychological horror game created in RPG Maker 2003 by @rindre (@pakilusin), where you play as Benjamin, a socially inept teenage writer who struggles with depression, loneliness, and writer’s block. When he decides to try lucid dreaming to figure out how to push his story forward, he meets new friends, new enemies, and his literal dream girl. Making certain choices will either help or hurt his relationships, and the outcome of his story.
The start to the game was a bit of a mystery in relation to the rest of the game, the introduction gave us an insight to the decline of humanity, then an artificial revival of humanity with enter the dreaming scenario just afterwards. The reason for the dystopian future is unknown, but it could be laid out more in the full game, could be the fact of looking into Ben's life outside of Lucid Dreaming, otherwise the introduction may as well just start with Ben on his computer. Lovely start to the game Rindre, bunnies delight!
