Great twist. Looks like she stumbled out of the sbs... Doubled the jump on the sbs... Nice lift. A little bit of a rough landing on that throw, but she got it. Nice lift. Hand down on that throw, but man if she would have landed that with the hit to the music... Great lift.

Wow, great job from Alexa Scimeca Knierim and Brandon Frazier. A couple of very minor mistakes, but that was just fabulous. And they’ve only been together for six months? They are so well jelled for such a new team.. Great job for them.

That was a lovely program from Daria Pavlyuchenko and Denis Khodkyin. It wasn’t perfect, but they skated the program very well overall, and really sold it. They have some great elements, great connection, and I think this program is a great vehicle for them.

After the other team withdrew, Miu Suzaki and Ryuichi Kihara won their second National title unopposed.
So, group one -
Trent/Michaud - Still very hectic, but better. A better vehicle for them. Lots of mistakes, though, and it just kept pilling up one after the other. Just... not a good skate.
Digerness/Neudecker - Highlight of the first group by far. Beautiful, pretty solid, and just... gorgeous. So much potential.
Hocke/Blommaert - They looked unconfident and a bit shaky. They’re a lovely team, though, and I think they have a lot of potential if they can get a bit more mileage.
Knierims - Much better vehicle than the short. Still a bit shaky here and there, but a better program than yesterday I think. And according to Terry Gannon, Aliona Savchenko is no longer their coach. Apparently, it just “didn’t work out” which is why she’s not here.
Natalia Zabiiako and Alexander Enbert of Russia won the gold at the NHK Trophy today. Cheng Peng and Yang Jin of China took the silver and Alexa Scimeca Knierim and Chris Knierim of the US took the bronze.
Both of the top two medalists have booked a spot in the Final.
