I’m trying to figure out wtf this is about but there’s so much otaku jargon I can’t parse out. Wtf happened

ok so the show is about the heroine shrine maiden who wants to break out of her shell and move from her rinky dink village to the big city. the quirky catch being that because her shrine worshiped bear gods she has a talking bear around al lthe time telling her shes too innocent and naieve to do it. the show is rife from pedo AND beastiality overtones right from the get go 

flash forward to the final episode and theres an idol contest, mc wants to enter and while she wins she literally has a mental break down and the bear and the “male lead” (read: an adult man whos also the most prominent male character sans the bear) both use that mental break down to force her back into her shell wherein she reverts into an infantalized, mind broken state. the last shot is of the mind broken 14 year old heroine playing with the LITERAL pedo bear. and she will be like this for the rest of her life.

You’ll know the feeling as you become a reformed weaboo. Also the pacing stays across the board on netflix shows they don’t know how to build for binge watching yet

which is annoying bc the only other thing i use netflix for is binge watching brooklyn 99
