www.PantyRaidDallas.com Panty Raid is Dallas’ very own Queer Vaudeville show! We are dedicated to creating a safe space for Queers to engage in dialogue, performance art, social commentary, and creative expression in a fun and entertaining way. Our mission is inclusive, and we welcome queers and allies of all gender identities, orientations, abilities, sizes, cultures, and beliefs. This show is BY our community and FOR our community, and will be a supportive space for individuals to share their artistic vision with like-minded people. We define Queer as a personal identity that can range anywhere on the LGBT spectrum. Queer is a space where we can see past labels and checkboxes to celebrate gender and sexual fluidity, and share with others our self-defined identity. We don’t want to forget our straight allies, though, who are such an important part of our communities and our movement. Although our shows are Queer-run and Queer-focused, you’ll find all sorts of people at (and in!) our shows. We welcome everyone who wants to celebrate and connect with the Queer community. Panty Raid is proud to be a benefit show for Girls Rock Dallas, an outstanding girls’ program dedicated to “empowering girls and women through the use of music education to promote self-esteem and confidence by providing the opportunity to learn and express their musical creativity.” We are also delighted to have our house band, Bad Reputation, opening every show with Joan Jett covers and other rockin’ music. Join us for live music, spoken word, burlesque, drag, magic, sideshow, performance art, and more. Our shows change every time and we welcome both experienced and novice performers. Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering or performing!
