Pagan goes 3-for-5 with a 3-run blast in Giants’ 8-5 victory over D-Backs. Recap: http://atmlb.com/1lswygg
Your Honour's passion for things Italian is perhaps equally well known. One might have thought your Honour would have affected the style of many suave Italian young men of the day, to be found sauntering around Carlton in an Alfa Romeo or Maserati. It seems not. Your Honour's car of choice as a young Don was a Fiat 500, fittingly named a bambino for its size and you were often found with a beaming smile, in a line of track, banked up in Canterbury Road, as you crawled along, spewing smoke on three cylinders.
Ms F. McLeod SC, Ceremonial Sitting of the Full Court for the Swearing in and Welcome of the Honourable Justice Pagone (21 June 2013).

KIRBY J: You see, ultimately we have to ask ourselves, “Is a prize income?”, because that is the statutory word. I just have to say to you, I have real difficulty in saying that a prize of $50,000 is income, because it depends on so many chances and it is so problematic, it depends on so many risk factors. It is really not what the ordinary person would say is income. If that is so, then the question is, have you snapped the connection?
MR PAGONE: Your Honour, the vagaries that chance plays are active in any kind of commercial activity; the securing of any contract, putting in a tender - - -
HAYNE J: Investing in government bonds is the only thing that is risk free, is it not?
MR PAGONE: Risk free, your Honour?
GLEESON CJ: I imagine if Lleyton Hewitt won the American Open that would be income, I would guess.
MR PAGONE: Your Honour, I am not in a position to say what Lleyton Hewitt’s position would be, nor do I wish to deprive myself of a brief for Lleyton Hewitt if it turns out otherwise.
HAYNE J: Good luck, Mr Pagone.
