Take a peek at the apprentice to see if she’s still breathing.

You step forward to get a better look at the Battered Apprentice on the ground.

Surprisingly she is alive and only slightly charred!

And finally, Sir Smaugh is aware of your presence!

Politely approach the wizard and inquire about deathbark-I mean, the runes. Focus, fool.

Deathbark, You must know how he acquired it.

Those poor apprentices...You are glad you went the route of the Root Knighthood instead of what ever these girls signed up for.. What were we talking about again?

Ah yes!

Sir Smaugh explains: “Oooh? So you took one of my request sheets did you? Well Sir Knight, that piece of paper is your ticket to saving one of the many Princesses lost to the Red Dragon.”

            He continues, “ My Fee is merely that you face evil Valiantly and Triumphantly. Surely you can do that?

 I hope using the rune is safer than whatever just happened here.

You worry that he may be cutting corner to save on costs for all these Teleportations.
