There's this show on TV called The Island, which is produced by Bear Grills and it's about a group of men trying to survive on this deserted island. There's a trauma surgeon, a firefighter, and a bunch of other men with useful jobs. The whole premise behind the show is that Bear Grills was wondering if modern men could survive on this island with barely any help, and testing their "masculinity" or whatever. So of course feminists got angry and said it was sexist.
The best part about this is that my mom likes the show and I told her that feminists thought it was offensive and she was just like "so the fuck what? This is for men." And then she said the reason people don't like feminists is that they get offended over the stupidest things.
What annoys me about having a main blog that's mostly music / bands / etc. is that I follow a lot of music themed blogs and they all try to basically introduce people to new artists, and while that's not necessarily a bad thing, they don't do it for the music. It's always like "[artist] is a bisexual, biracial feminist woman" or something like that, and while that's great for them, I don't care about their sexuality, race, political affiliations, or gender. I care about the music, and sometimes the artist isn't exactly a great artist. It just annoys me that supporting artists is now about anything but the music.
They used to say feminism was for everyone, at least they're honest now.
How do people even believe the 1 in 4 rape "statistic"? If that were true, then it would be classified as a state of emergency by the government.

On Appropriation
Since I've seen so many posts here on "hurr durr white people can't have dreads because it's appropriating black culture", I thought I'd post my own personal opinions, in a feminist-friendly way. Please keep in mind that I'm not very articulate and sometimes I have trouble turning my thoughts into words.
1. "White people can wear dreads but a black person would have to cut them off for a job!" -- Both people would, if the job's anything more than a customer service job. In the work place, there's supposed to be a sense of professionalism and because people have a generally negative opinion of dreads (they're dirty, unkempt, et.), managers/owners wouldn't want to hire said person. I'm asked to cover up my tattoos while I'm on the job. It's not the same as asking someone to cut their hair, but they both fall in line with the whole professionalism appearance you're supposed to have.
2. "It's appropriating black culture!" -- Firstly, there's no such thing as "black culture". There's Jamaican culture, for example, and Kenyan culture. The two might have overlapping themes/ideals (I don't know enough about either culture to make a Venn diagram) but they're completely separate cultures. I know this because of the countries' geographical locations. Languages, cultures, and religions vary between locations. Find me an actual culture in which dreads play an actual role.
3. "It's so cool and trendy for a white person to have dreads but..." -- I'm not even going to finish typing this sentence because it's so stupid. A white person looks stupid with dreads. A black person looks stupid with dreads. Anyone looks stupid with dreads.
4. "Black people have had dreads for hundreds of years." -- Ancient Romans, Greeks, and Egyptians (who, by looking at their geographical locations, were tan- or brown-skinned, not black) have been discovered to have had dreads as well. Possibly for longer than this mysterious "black culture" has. I wouldn't say for sure, because I'm not a historian, but they did have dreads.
Now, I'll add the part I call "feminists/SJWs play cards I've heard before".
1. "Lol whiteys like you wouldn't understand." -- I'm not white. My father was born and raised in Mexico. I'm pale, but I'm not white. A person's skin color doesn't discredit their opinion.
2. "Shut the fuck up, you're anti-feminist." -- Whether or not I identify as a feminist is neither here nor there, having dreads is not cultural appropriation.
My favorite thing is getting messages claiming that my mother would be disappointed in me. She has the exact same views as I do, to be honest. She said "People are just looking for reasons to be offended now, and complaining about the way people sit is just stupid."
I am 100% sure that if the Indian culture could survive the British imperialism, where they actively tried to destroy any semblance of culture, Becky from Brooklyn wearing a bindi isn't going to destroy the culture.
