the streets of danube, romania are nothing in comparison to the hustle and bustle of new york city; the city that truly never sleeps. and she likes that. here everything is so calm. a far cry from her usual surroundings. tranquility filters throughout the air, and is experienced with each new footstep forward. there’s so much to do and see, but hardly enough time for all that pepper would like to visit. eyes lightly scan her tourist list of activities, and with a swipe here and there, she removes a few of the items, being practical and logical, making good use of her time. between meeting with the romanian prime minister and presenting si’s new proposal to utilize a select few romanian resources, she’s allowed a couple of hours of leisure. approaching a local bar, the redhead feels inclined to peek inside; one drink couldn’t possibly hurt, and besides, the architecture is breathtaking. worth a glance.
seated at a vacant bar top with only the sound of a handful of locals mingling as background noise mixed smoothly with the echo of musical notes played upon a pan flute. pepper orders herself a serbian wine. taking a moment while the bartender retrieves her beverage, azure orbs sweep across the room. eyes stop abruptly upon a shadowy figure towards the back - that face... it rings familiarity, however, with recognition comes a wave of pain, anguish from watching tony suffer because of the actions this man caused - her body tenses, she’s unable to move, but the drive to confront him surges on. pepper doesn’t derail from her point blank stare, it doesn’t occur to her that she had hopped off her bar stool with a wine glass in hand, moving robotically, unaware, and traveled what few strides remained between herself and the man. “i must be crazy... or hallucinating.”
