"I can't let this happen again," she said, resolve in her voice. She clutched the lapels of her husband's Jedi robes. "We cannot let this happen again. Will you be with me, Ani?"

Supreme Chancellor Palpatine reveals his dark intentions to Padme, inviting her to join him. She kills him with a dagger and, shocked by what she has done, and what the galaxy has become, she becomes obsessed with keeping peace; the obsession worsens when she becomes pregnant with twins, and she and her husband, Anakin Skywalker, tighten their grip on the stars, willing to do anything to prevent more deaths and more than willing to bring punishment to those who do not follow.
