I have an idea for what I want to try drawing next in the big sketchbook (no spoilers in case it doesn't end up turning out), but for after that, what should I draw next?
CHOOSE:
Finish the janky sketch of R'aahs in the spiral sketchbook
Index card drawing of Padaka (the Calico Caitian Pilot)
Big sketchbook drawing of Wilvous
Big sketchbook drawing of Aerelai
Big sketchbook drawing of Bhea and Muna together
''you should draw my oc instead'' (fine but give me pics/good description)
[two of my ocs scenario idea] (submit your idea in comments/rb, no promises)
Stop being a coward and draw Vasilios' index card pic
Voting ended onMay 4
(I draw people I haven't drawn before on index cards first so people can sit next to each other bc obviously I don't have any little Playmates style action figures of any of these guys (gn) </3) I'm perfectly willing to draw y'alls Ocs out of love/for practice but the quality is ✨debatable✨.
(also I'm fr so so scared to try and draw captain Vasilios, I can picture her, but I'm worried I can't do her proper justice at my skill level :/ )

Lion therapist (i don't remember if he got a name)
17. Are they good at cooking?
Alright!! :D
D'Hrava 7. Neat or messy hand writing?:
Pretty neat honestly! I doubt it would look that way to non klingons, but to them it would almost have a historical quality because she used to be so obsessed with ancient houses and their customs and she picked up some writing quirks from the immersion
R'aahs 9. Are they good or bad at making handicrafts?
It depends on what kind they are! He can carve stuff pretty well if it's decently dense material, but if it's too thin he'll end up piercing it too hard or crushing it. He can also do stuff with beads pretty well, though again a strong material prevents accidental crushing.
Not good at painting (though he has tried a little. It's just not an intuitive material for his species I think), and not really good with cutting paper for stuff (it tends to shred), but he can actually fold it into shapes kinda well if it's a thicker material like cardstock.
I think folding leaves, bark, or bits of hide trimmings into little shapes to throw into the wind to let them dance or to chase could be a pretty common thing for Nausicaan children! He was always a little uncoordinated to do it well as a child, so his father (and then later, for a while at least) his siblings would usually end up doing it for him </3
Padaka 14. How are their table manners?;
Well she could probably keep it together semi decently for a really really important event through just like out of sheer survival mode forcing themself into a freeze response. Normally though? Feral little thing
(fun fact: I picture them as sort of like a genderfuck calico Muta lol)
Lion therapist (i don't remember if he got a name) 17. Are they good at cooking?:
(Sadly he does not yet XD)
Yes when it comes to meat! He could grill, stew, or smoke, but his specialty would probably be something like open fire cooking with a lot cooking at once, almost like this :
he probably wouldn't really know what to do with fruits and vegetables beyond cutting them up raw though XD
4- Do they worry about being a burden to others and if so where does this feeling come from
Lion therapist
6- When joy comes knocking on their door do they let it in immediately or do they hesitate to let it in
Ch'ayna
17- If their worldviews were to be challenged how would they react? how stubborn would they be about it
And another round of the spicy question hehehe Muna and Bhea
19- Are they repressive sexually? do they carry any guilt when it comes to their sexuality
Another round!!! :D 🥃🍹🍷
Padaka: 4- Do they worry about being a burden to others and if so where does this feeling come from?:
Oh definitely. They couldn't do very much to help their siblings being the youngest (and them always trying to protect her when she'd try to fight in situations she couldn't possibly have won in). He saw them nurse wounds and go without on her behalf, take humiliating and back breaking jobs for the family. For her, the baby.
Sometimes she feels like it would be so much easier if they ever seemed to resent him at all. Then there would be something to prove, a way to pay it back and speak in the sharp tongue that comes naturally. But they don't. It's the easiest thing in the world for them to love him. It's never a question and they act like there's never been a thought of debt, and it's hard to feel anything but that hungry, hollow anger seeing the mirror mocking spit back the culmination of all their struggles in him.
Lion therapist: 6- When joy comes knocking on their door do they let it in immediately or do they hesitate to let it in?:
I think most of the time he's pretty openly an optimist! There's some things he'd hesitate in, like he'd be a little hesitant to initiate a new relationship because I think he maybe lost someone after a longer term relationship, but he wouldn't refuse himself happiness he might just be hesitant.
On the whole while I wouldn't say he really dips into toxic positivity any much more than anyone might find themself doing once in a while (and he's really good about not doing it to patients), but I do think he kind of has more of the opposite problem than shutting out joy; In his personal life he'll really really try to keep an upbeat view and focusing on points of joy, but sometimes just really has to stop and let himself get mad or be upset for a bit so he can even back out.
Ch'ayna: 17- If their worldviews were to be challenged how would they react? how stubborn would they be about it?:
I think it would depend on what specifically it is that's getting challenged to be honest, but I think on the whole she'd at least be open to hearing differing cultural positions, like that's kind of a decent portion of her entire career.
Like I think she'd be moderately grounded in her own personal species cultural practices, but I think she's still had her views at least colored by all of the different people she's met or the texts and relics she's learned about cultures through.
And another round of the spicy question hehehe Muna and Bhea: 19- Are they repressive sexually? do they carry any guilt when it comes to their sexuality?:
Loool spicy time! XD
I'd say Muna is very uninhibited, like it's maybe less of a cultural taboo on the whole (and like btw I've said Muna is bi, but she really might be more pan, I'm not really too sure, but I think she's definitely tried enough to kinda see what she likes.)
She was maybe more experimental in her academy days than now, but she had a lot more chances for casual encounters back then. That's how she prefers to experiment rather than with someone established I think, like if there was anything she was ashamed of it would be having to admit to inexperience or uncertainty in regards to something with someone she's more established with. It's not insurmountable, especially with someone like Bhea where so much of their physical intimacy would involve some trial and error what with species differences (some of them beg physically hazardous), but she definitely prefers to be able to speak and act with confidence as a more regular thing.
Bhea is the more repressed of the two; She has some kind of quite bad insecurity about being a lesbian and in lesser ways about some of her intersex traits (she doesn't like getting mistaken for a guy and there's kind of a 50/50 chance when people have only ever met one or two Bolians before).
Bolians tend to default much more bisexual species-wide, so she definitely had a lot of "just what the hell is wrong with me" feelings growing up just never feeling attraction to men. She moved on for the most part, especially after leaving home and meeting more people, but it is kind of a weird thing culturally and I think she carries some baggage about it. She's not the first lesbian in all of Bolian history or anything, but it's uncommon and kind of isolating.
She is a lot more exploratory once she gets comfortable though, and on the rare occasions she can stumble into something Muna doesn't know she'll want to try it straight away ;) (she makes sure Muna has a good time even if it's a bust, but honestly Muna has introduced her to way more stuff and that's kinda how Muna prefers it XD)
1- In their opinion what's the worst thing they've done to someone else and what's the worst thing that's ever been done to them
Toka
5- Would you say they tend to pick their battles or the opposite
B/C engineer
16- In which ways are they privileged (if any) and which ways are they disadvantaged (if any)
Another round!!!! :D 🥂
Padaka: 1- In their opinion what's the worst thing they've done to someone else and what's the worst thing that's ever been done to them?:
That they'd say they've done: Stolen from other children who were smaller from them back in his youth. Often with at least threats of violence. Resources were scarce and she wanted to be able to help her family. It's not something they're proud of or enjoyed really save for a respite from hunger.
They have also gotten into very violent fights in adult life, but I don't think that's what he'd quantify as the worst thing.
Done to them (directly): They got thrown into a makeshift water well once. Again, things were bad, resources were scarce, and they wouldn't submit quietly when someone tried to take her rations. Someone heard and pulled them out pretty quick. Some aspiration sickness and some temporary bald patches from the filter units, it really could have been worse. Thinking about it mostly just makes her angry and kind of ashamed (aka has not processed that whatsoever)
I think on the bigger scale she thinks of how bad things got in her colony during the war and how little was done to help and is very bitter about that, but that's not really to them directly.
Toka: 5- Would you say they tend to pick their battles or the opposite?:
Honestly I would kind of say both? XD He's a very shrewd and strategic person so like in terms of what he does day to day yes he does and he knows how to delegate his officers effectively.
Buuuut he definitely just has to deal with crazy shit all the damn time that he does not choose or expect XD
[B/C engineer]: 16- In which ways are they privileged (if any) and which ways are they disadvantaged (if any):
So they're honestly quite privileged in a lot of ways; having incredibly supportive loving adoptive human parents since infancy who live on post-scarcity Earth who always tried so hard to provide them exposure to Bajoran culture and to shield them from people who wouldn't understand them.
Unfortunately that level of protection also kind of tripped them up in that it gave them a lot of internalized shame about their Cardassian half and feelings of inadequacy regarding their Bajoran heritage.
I'd say their parents absolutely did their best, but they just also had their blind spots, especially in the during/post the Dominion war (I really need to work out a good timeline setup ngl) there was really just so much at play in all facets of their life. </3

3- How much do they take others into consideration concerning their decisions, plans and future
Muna
12- Do they believe in what they can't see
R'aahs
17- How much time do they spend thinking of their body and looking after it
Another round!! :D
Padaka: How much do they take others into consideration concerning their decisions, plans and future?:
Loool honestly aside from not wanting to get caught and therefore into trouble, she unfortunately really isn't all that considerate of people for the most part XD
In regards to their siblings its kinda different in that he feels he owes them a lot and has seen how much they struggled on a more personal level rather than people they kinda care about but not as deeply at least at first.
Muna: 12- Do they believe in what they can't see?:
She does! She believes that the spirit of family members or others who someone was very close with in life can, in a way join in meals with those who still set out offerings, and I could see that kind of mindset extending further out into her life.
R'aahs: 7- How much time do they spend thinking of their body and looking after it?:
Ehhhh kind of a mix really? He's kind of more at risk for infections and poorly regrown tissue just due to being without a proper pack unit (pharamones and whatnot), so he tries ro be more aware to compensate (with mixed results)and I think there's also things he's always pretty aware of that he doesn't want to be, like the telltale reddish-brown discoloration on his face that indicates the presense of his syndrome, and the steam burn scars on his hands </3
22. Are they used to sleeping around others or alone?
Alright got my artfigts now so let's (finally) goooooooo! :D
T'Pril: 3. Do they have unusual speech patterns?:
I wouldn't say so no, I think she has the pretty typical Vulcan speech patterns with the consistent tone, lack of contractions. I guess for a Vulcan she maybe speaks a little fast, but humans wouldn't notice really.
Kirev: 20. Light or heavy sleeper?:
Typically pretty light, and he's especially sensitive to sound just given Aenar biology, however when he's somewhere he's very familiar with (especially if he's with someone he trusts) he'll end up sleeping really deeply and be hard to wake up XD
Also sometimes the doses of medication he takes every few months to manage the Alvanian spine mites will sometimes just absolutely knock him out for a few hours (or just make him a bit dizzy for a while, it kind of just depends).
Padaka, Toka 22. Are they used to sleeping around others or alone?:
Padaka:
She grew up in a pretty small house with all of their siblings, so he'd be pretty used to a noisy environment awake or asleep. I'm not sure yet if they share quarters or not with anyone, but honestly she might prefer to just in the sense that it would feel more familiar.
Toka:
Very much alone! His family was small and the home was decently spacious, so he got used to having alone time and has kept that practice going as much as he can really.
