I spent most of the morning packing. I’ve decided to check in my carry-on and a large suitcase, and just carry my back-pack and purse. So... in the backpack I packed everything that I would be upset if I lost, i.e. computer, iPad, (you can’t check those things in anyway), dental retainer, contact lenses for 6 months, sunglasses, regular glasses, etc. Then, the comfort stuff for the plane: eye patch, ear plugs, socks, fleece jacket, water bottle, Clif bars. I put half of my credit cards in my wallet, along with my driver’s license, a passport copy, and health insurance card, and the other half in my waist pouch with my other credit card and passport, I was good to go. Ken and Bill picked me up from Dona’s, and I said goodbye, once again, to my friend, until we meet again. It’s likely that I won’t be returning to that house to see her, since she is going to sell it and move into a retirement community. I’m really going to miss her being my neighbor. However, I have no doubt we will see each other often when I return to Denver. Good friends are gold.
