Andrew barely even said bye to his coworkers. The minute it was time for him to go home, he gave a halfhearted wave and was halfway running out the front of the firehouse. He even managed to avoid having to talk to Sean who yelled at him on the way out. “I’m off my shift, I don’t have to talk to you right now!” he shouted so Sean would leave him alone. Andrew had spent the rest of his shift just mindlessly doing what he had to asked to do, thinking about all the things he was going to do to her as soon as he got home.
Andrew didn’t even bother with the subway. He hailed a taxi, not wanting to take longer than he needed to and jumped into the car that stopped for him. “Hey, man, double the taxi fare if you’re willing to double the speed and ignore a few traffic laws,” he offered the driver as incentive. It had worked, because he was home in half the time that he might have normally been (it didn’t hurt that due to the pandemic, there was also a lot less traffic in the streets anyway, so it made it easier to navigate). He stopped at a store on the corner of their street to get the things he had promised Ava he would bring home.
Andrew ran into the building and already had his key ready, entering the front door. The dogs were there and he quickly gave each of them a quick pat. “You guys may want to hang out in the living room for this,” he told them. All of them seemed to get the energy he was putting out as they left him. The cat was still getting used to her new home and was nowhere to be seen. “I hope you’re ready, babe,” he called out as he was already throwing his things to the ground and already undoing his pants. “Fuck, I’ve been thinking about that fucking video you sent me all fucking day long,” he said, pulling off his shirt over his head and then pulling his pants off. @avaxhunt
