It would have been more polite to ask beforehand whether Jimin was busy or not, but Namjoon always seemed to forget that in his eagerness to see the younger man. Especially on nights like these, when his shift never seemed to end, and seeing Jimin afterwards was just a breath of fresh air. The man was a bright person, endearingly innocent, and one of Namjoon’s closest friends since moving to Uisu. Like with anyone else, Namjoon wasn’t too eager to share any details of his past with him, but regardless, Jimin was always one of Namjoon’s favourite people to hang out with.
Tossing his phone in the passenger seat, Namjoon grabbed the spare change of clothes he kept in his backseat for times like these. It was only a simple t-shirt and jeans, but it was far better than the scrubs he was wearing. He discarded his jacket and scrubs in the backseat, and exited the car after pulling on the shirt and jeans. He was a bit early; it hadn’t quite been fifteen minutes yet, but Namjoon was happy to sit here and wait for Jimin. Their usual meeting place was near the main bridge in Uisu, a small ledge that gave a perfect view of the ocean. It wasn’t quite like being on the beach, but it was peaceful, and Namjoon could honestly say he had never seen anyone else here -- the trail to it had long since eroded over, so getting to it wasn’t always safe, but the ledge itself was in good condition and Namjoon had never found it to be dangerous -- just peaceful.
Though Namjoon was very much so looking forward to going out to party and unwinding, it was always nice to stop here first and talk with Jimin before they actually went out and did anything. His busy schedule at the hospital didn’t allow Namjoon too much free time, but what little time he had to spend with Jimin, he cherished every second of it.
