in a general sense, yoon bora was a fearless person.
of course, there were always things that made her nervous and sweaty palmed, horror movies that left her with nightmares as a child, but it never went much further than that. she was always quick to jump into any situation that seemed slightly exciting or new to her, even knowing good and well that it wouldn’t go smoothly and she wouldn’t come out unharmed in some way. life was too short to worry about what ifs and problems that had easy fixes. when she was old and going, the last thing she was going to be thinking about was all the times that she was careful.
maybe it was a bit childish, foolish to go wandering into often untraveled ground. maybe it was a bit reckless and irresponsible to take jiho, who was practically her baby sister, along with her. but bora was a sucker for adventure, for unknown sources of delight in any form, and jiho was one of the few people that shared that same sentiment. she was a resourceful person when she needed to be-- there were plenty of years under her belt of hiking through tropical forests with reporters, recording details of underground treasures while her mother snapped photos. if anything, she was the perfect person for the task, sure to find something interesting or at least reduce the chances of a total disaster.
well, at least that was the plan. bora was beginning to question how good of a job she was doing as she found herself snapping yet another photo that seemed like a duplicate in her phone gallery.
“hm, jiho...” she mumbled, her steps slowing as the possible realization began to dawn on her. they might have been wandering blindly, and it might have been entirely her fault, but there still wasn’t a single strand of regret in her body. “is it just me, or are we starting to go in circles? is it supposed to be like this?” // @cvjiho
