Jessiās client had told her quite a lot about this elusive āOnew.ā He was apparently a member of Isanghan, which immediately made Jessi want to kill him. But he was hard to find, notoriously so. Jessi couldnāt necessarily say that she liked a challenge, but she liked the money. And she liked the thought of breaking into someoneās house. Or, apartment. She hadnāt ever done it before. It probably wasnāt the best idea to practice it on a job like this, but she wasnāt going to put much thought into it.
She approached the building with slight trepidation. There was literally no way into the manās apartment aside from the front door. What the hell was such an infamous hitman doing, living in such a shitty apartment? It was irritating, to say the very least, that this was going to make her job this much more difficult. But she could do this. And she wasnāt going to let herself call Hyunsoo this time, even if she knew that he would probably have a better idea of how to do this than she did.
Jessi took in a deep breath. Sheād picked a lock or two in her life. How hard could it be? And worst case scenario, sheād break down his door. That, she could do. She reached up to pluck a bobby pin from the bun she had her hair in, and crouched down in front of the door handle. She had to admit, it felt cool doing this - she felt like someone out of some James Bond movie. A grin spread across her lips at the thought, and she inserted the bobby pin into the lock.
But it wasnāt as straight forward as sheād thought it would be. āMotherfucker, piece of shit, fucking open,ā she muttered, rattling the bobby pin around. Truthfully, she didnāt even really know how to unlock a door with a bobby pin. She didnāt think sheād actually have to think about it. She wanted to back out - but she couldnāt. She needed this money, and sheād break every single bobby pin that she had at the moment if she had to.
