“eventually… you just move on.”

— (#나너좋아해) —  “Moving on is a great thing in my books,” she began as she poured both herself and Mina another shot of soju, “I know so much people that are afraid of it. The fact that we can just go past things like they never even happened and keep all those memories at the back of our minds does seem kind of frightening–but isn’t that needed for us to get on with our lives? It sucks having to dwell in the past. That’s why I don’t get why people think having old scars makes anyone stronger. I say get rid of it and look towards a future where we aren’t being held back by anything.” A few minutes ago, the two had been rather loud and obnoxious. Plenty of those in the restaurant had already left due to either their noise or it being two hours past midnight. Even the rowdy businessmen were beaten by the idols that were seated across one another. “Dang, this conversation got depressing really quick…”

Over time she became familiar with AOA’s sunbaes and despite not meeting often, she messaged them occasionally when in need of advice or casual talk. Most recently, she spoke with their bassist who she finds quite adorable and not to mention on her level considering they are the same height.

Today, she finds herself at the other’s apartment, reaching over for Mochi and hugging him in her arms. At times like this she lives through her sunbae. Of course she would love for Twice to have a pet, but their schedules kept them too busy for such a commitment. And the best part about Mochi was his breed. He was large and cuddly and even her sunbae took advantage of that considering her recent instagram posts.

She chuckles, glancing up at Mina, “Are we giving him a bath today?”

"Well-" Mina laughs and bends her knees a little so that she can run her fingers along her dog's back. "Does she smell that bad already?!" On most days, Mochi actually lives with her mom so she doesn't get to see her dog as much as she would love to; on the days that she does get to visit her (or when Mochi visits /her/, which doesn't happen as much), she tries to do whatever she can to help out with pet owner responsibilities.

“Watch me get edited out.”

It’s not often that Jinyoung would bump into Mina, let alone end up spending some time together with the younger female because despite having mutual friends and knowing each other for years, it’s not often that the two would even converse in a much private setting – but now that Jinyoung ending up meeting Mina in the broadcasting station after his individual schedule, he end up treating the younger female to lunch (since he overheard the girl talking about being angry to her groupmate when he passed by them), in which Jinyoung ended up separating Mina from the rest of her member and they’re somehow sitting down by the cafe that’s located nearby from the broadcast station.

Thanks to their lack of conversation before, he find it awkward to sit with Mina in this kind of setting–though, thankfully, Mina’s talkativeness opened up the way to warm up the awkwardness between them (or at least one that he felt like he’s going through) until it end up being a session where the younger female ranting about her previous recording which earned her a reassuring pat on the back..

“Hey, how can you become so sure of that? I’ve seen your shows, you’re actually pretty funny and entertaining. Who knows if the PD is actually your fan?” He grins, hoping that the positivity would’ve somehow affected the younger. “If it makes you feel better, I’m actually way, way, worse than you when it comes to variety shows–hence why I barely appears in one–so, I’d say you actually have a lot of opportunity.”

Even though they have personally known each other for a number of years, and despite the fact that they've admitted to mutual admiration for each other, Mina still feels shy when around Jinyoung. Most of the time she just isn't sure how to talk to him, fearing that she might say the wrong thing and embarrass herself. Still, the fact that they have so many common friends entices her to try harder with him, even more so after he had started dating one of her closest friends.

It had been a little awkward having run into each other at the broadcast station, but she hadn't thought of turning him down when he suggested having coffee together. Instead she puts on her brightest expression, and soon enough she's (nervously) rambling about anything and everything as they sat across each other at a nearby cafe. She finds herself mostly talking about the show she had just filmed, as the experience is quite fresh in her mind.

Having heard the female’s suggestion, Taeyang stood there and watched as one of his members escape and thus, leaving him stuck with a red clown nose stuck on his face. He didn’t ask for this. He specifically asked for a cute pair of reindeer headband instead. “I-”, he blinked repeatedly, unsure of what he should do. It wasn’t as if he had the right and freedom to just reject his senior’s request for a picture. He hadn’t seen Mina often after filming of Click Your Heart and Dance or Band had ended so he could admit, taking a picture together would be a nice way to stay connected. Nevertheless, he put on a bright smile and nodded at her. “Okay, let’s do it!” Taeyang looked up to the camera and brought a peace sign up to the side of his face. He can look silly for just one picture, right? What harm could it cause?

AOA's December schedule was quite packed, what with preparations not only for the year end ceremonies keeping them busy, this time around they were also hard at work practicing for their upcoming comeback. And yet, when there's a short lull in between practice schedules, instead of resting and closing her eyes, Mina finds that she's quite spilling over to the brim with energy still. She takes out one of the presents she's received for Christmas, a new polaroid camera and she goes around the FNC building, asking every other person she finds to take some last minute memory snaps of 2016 with her.

“Have you drank all of these bottles in one weekend?!”

         Yejin couldn’t understand why she was so surprised. She was in the studio all weekend and so happened to forget to empty the trash. It was usually someone else’s job, but it looked like it was her turn– or the crew was just lazy. Water was essential of course. It kept the body hydrated and made the voice less likely to crack. The soloist had to have a lot to get the perfect vocals she wanted and not go through so many errors. Those only frustrated her, and she couldn’t afford to lose anymore hours of sleep.

         The younger continued to stare at her in disbelief, and Yejin’s eyes went from the trash to Mina, taking a quick note of how much was really there. ❝I did…I was recording a lot of vocals. It’s gross right? Seeing all that? I should’ve cleaned up better before bringing you in.❞ With a laugh, she pushed off the chair she sat in, and went to take care of the mess.

She can't help but just laugh at the elder's explanation, followed with a slight shake of her head. Mina had immediately situated herself on the couch as soon as she had entered the studio, but now she's getting back up on her feet. "Do you need help, unnie?" She feels a little awkward sitting there, while the older female goes around picking up the stray, empty water bottles and other trash that apparently were left there in the wake of overnight recordings.

“actually… i just miss you.”

Naeun could only tilt her head off to the side as she gave her friend a rather blank expression, aside from the small smile that played on her lips. She remained stoic for some time, placing the bag that held a pack of pads and a box of tampons on the coffee table. “…Ah, so you didn’t just call me for a girl emergency didn’t you?” She laughed at her realization, feeling giddy on the inside from her recently discovery. “I should have known….you could have asked your other members, huh.”

“I guess looks really are everything now.”

now? hasn’t it always been this way? the younger one could only let a chuckle tumble out from her throat. undergoing to such a crucial survival show, this only proved chungha how great visuals can be. with the voting system implemented to win the competition, the ones who catches the audience eyes will always have the highest ranks. it took a long time for the brunette to reach the higher levels, the spot where she can safely debut as an ioi member. all the while when she was in the lower numbers, she was slowly decreasing to believe she will be jumping to at least the eleventh spot. well, at least, her ability to dance helped her. “i know. they are always on the screen even if they are not the one singing. for me, i still need to work hard or at least have a solo spot where everyone is turning their backs on the camera, so i can have a secured screentime.” she ended it with a laugh, partially kidding.

“The dead will always be dead, but we have to go on living.”

—- mina’s cheeks puffed as she glanced down into the glass bowl. the dead goldfish was laying down there, floating just like how she had seen them do in movies but possibly never thought that this was a case that actually would be happening in real life. sighing out for a short moment, she ran her fingers through your hair. it wasn’t her goldfish originally. their manager had brought the animal to the dorm to bring the members closer and take responsibility for themselves, but for some reason mina had become very close to the fish, how anyone even would be able to get close to a fish. it wasn’t perhaps a strong between her and the fish, but there was still an attachment, and goodbye’s had never seemed to be mina’s thing.  ❝ i just wish that there was some way to bring him back to life again, i mean … maybe it wasn’t anything special to have him at the dorm but it was … less lonely. ❞ who would understand the way mina was speaking? no one.
