âWatch me get edited out.â
Itâs not often that Jinyoung would bump into Mina, let alone end up spending some time together with the younger female because despite having mutual friends and knowing each other for years, itâs not often that the two would even converse in a much private setting â but now that Jinyoung ending up meeting Mina in the broadcasting station after his individual schedule, he end up treating the younger female to lunch (since he overheard the girl talking about being angry to her groupmate when he passed by them), in which Jinyoung ended up separating Mina from the rest of her member and theyâre somehow sitting down by the cafe thatâs located nearby from the broadcast station.
Thanks to their lack of conversation before, he find it awkward to sit with Mina in this kind of settingâthough, thankfully, Minaâs talkativeness opened up the way to warm up the awkwardness between them (or at least one that he felt like heâs going through) until it end up being a session where the younger female ranting about her previous recording which earned her a reassuring pat on the back..
âHey, how can you become so sure of that? Iâve seen your shows, youâre actually pretty funny and entertaining. Who knows if the PD is actually your fan?â He grins, hoping that the positivity wouldâve somehow affected the younger. âIf it makes you feel better, Iâm actually way, way, worse than you when it comes to variety showsâhence why I barely appears in oneâso, Iâd say you actually have a lot of opportunity.â
Even though they have personally known each other for a number of years, and despite the fact that they've admitted to mutual admiration for each other, Mina still feels shy when around Jinyoung. Most of the time she just isn't sure how to talk to him, fearing that she might say the wrong thing and embarrass herself. Still, the fact that they have so many common friends entices her to try harder with him, even more so after he had started dating one of her closest friends.
It had been a little awkward having run into each other at the broadcast station, but she hadn't thought of turning him down when he suggested having coffee together. Instead she puts on her brightest expression, and soon enough she's (nervously) rambling about anything and everything as they sat across each other at a nearby cafe. She finds herself mostly talking about the show she had just filmed, as the experience is quite fresh in her mind.
"You think so, oppa?" She smiles, grateful for his praise, even though it hardly does anything to assuage her nerves. She had been on the show with Choa, and it was more a talk show than variety so she hadn't really been able to do much but smile and clap her hands. "I hope so! I contributed a little to the discussion - I hope I was witty and funny enough, heh." She pauses so she can have a bite off the cheese bread she'd ordered, before continuing the conversation. She realises that she's mostly been going on about herself, so she tries to change that, using Jinyoung's words as a starting point. "Is that so? You have a lot of other talents though, oppa! But what were you doing at the station then, if not filming?"
