I'm so glad they made Edna leave at the end of the last episode of season 3. She was so annoying and she needed to stay away from Branson.

I hate all this chatter about the 'Matthewfication' of Tom. He's adapting to his new life, not chucking away his old one on a whim. After what sent him and Sybil running from Dublin, Tom has to make the most of life at Downton now. With his wife dead and an infant daughter to care for, I think he's doing a marvelous job. Sybil would have wanted them to be with her family if they couldn't be with his and Tom hasn't catered to the Crawleys' every wish, he's only trying to fit in for Sybbie's sake.
I miss Lady Sybil&Tom Branson scenes so terribly much.
I detest Mary/Branson ship. Not surprised it comes from a group of fandom that just want to see Michelle Dockery hook up with Allen Leech. Honestly, Allen had more chemistry with JBF than Michelle.
Branson's characterization in S3 seems completely (and insanely) different from the first two seasons. His politics are not crazy and violent like the third series is making him out to be. With his work as a writer and every scene in S1 and S2, he has shown that he's better with words than actions. Suddenly, Fellowes writes him as living up to everyone's terrible expectations of him instead of keeping with the forward-thinking idealist he's been built up to be from day one. I don't understand...

I think Tom has much more chemistry with Mary than he ever did with Sybil. (submitted by joelbert1124)
