back to the start ;
@rkluna
luna has been on her mind more than rachel would readily admit, especially on the bad note that they (continuously) leave things. but now, she knows why luna has hated her for so long, and how poorly she handled leaving in the first place. (had she been thinking rationally, and didn’t feel like her brain would ooze out of her ears, there would have been more tact, and less lost years of closeness that they used to have.)
rachel still knows where to find luna during independent study, and probably still knows so many of her habits that it drives her mad to know that she can’t spend them with her. she misses luna- the kind of miss that encourages a yearning from the depths of her heart and sometimes causes her more ache than anything else.
so she knocks, and then she steps in, back against the door but ready to leave quickly if the situation called for it. she doesn’t meet luna’s eyes readily, but instead looks at her shoes. she’s tired of the hate between them, and just wants things to go back to (or maybe close to) the way that they used to be. luna used to be a ride or die kind of friend, her clubbing buddy, and once, back then, they both felt responsible for the girls of sphere, a burden bared together and not apart like this.
“can we talk?”
