Matthias shrugs off his varsity jacket a friend had DIY’d for him. It has a large Gryffindor patch sewn on the back and the years he’s played for the team (almost all seven) along with a red and gold C next to the latest year. The Gryffindor in question looks at the younger Ravenclaw girl standing in front of him, both of them a bit harrowed.
Karma had asked Matthias for lessons in spell casting and while Matt is not the top of his class (thanks Red), he still wants to give effort and advice. Still, it’s been roughly an hour and Karma’s patronus has yet to manifest. Matthias’s wand feels heavy and rough in his hands as he tosses the jacket aside on the grassy field they’re using.
“Alright, it’s not hard K. Maybe it is, I don’t know. But you just gotta remember the happiest moment you’ve ever felt. Like, I dunno. That one birthday you had lots of fun at, getting an A on a test--can’t relate there--, or winning something. Just focus and let all of that happiness fill you up and cast it,” Matthias instructs one more time, twirling his wand between his fingers.
