Crossing Paths, Again || Daniel & Isabelle
Seeing the Thanksgiving parade was more for Sophie than it was Isabelle. Knowing it would get busy in the downtown area for the days events, the blond made sure arrive a little earlier than it was scheduled to start. She walked into the area the fair was being held, Sophie in her arms. Though the little girl was struggling, making it clear she wanted to be set down. “Soph,” Isabelle said after walking further into the fair. “If I put you down, you have to hold my hand. Understand?” She asked, getting a small nod as a response. Trusting her daughter to do as she was told, she set down the almost two year old. Isabelle took a hold of one of Sophie’s mitten covered hands.
For the first ten minutes or so, Sophie seemed to be fine with holding her mother’s hand as they wandered around the fair. Looking at the different stalls dotted about. Like every child does, the little girl grew bored of it. Isabelle could tell her daughter wanted to walk on her own. It was just too busy to allow it. The blonde headed down another one of the streets lined with stalls, keeping hold of Sophie’s hand. After walking from stall to stall for a while, Isabelle noticed how this part of the fair wasn’t as busy. She leaned down to her daughter’s level, holding onto both her arms to stop her from running off. “Sweetie, if you let go of mommy’s hand you can’t run off. Okay?" Again, Isabelle got a small nod as a response.
Reluctantly, the blonde let Sophie walk slightly ahead of her. She kept looking from one stall to the little girl. Even though she was doing as she was told and staying close by to her mother. Isabelle was about to move to look at the next stall when her gaze spotted a familiar face. She had to turn her head to double check it was who she thought it was. Yep, it was Daniel. Oh, God. That was all Isabelle could think. "Sophie, come here." She suddenly found herself saying. Wanting to get out of there and avoid contact with the man.
