This morning we're finding out there's a storm churning itself in the lower gulf. We've been worried about this hurricane season all winter. There's currently no director of FEMA, an organization that seems to poorly operate even with structure. FEMA oversees the majority of disaster relief for us here post-storm. With this impending feeling of doom, we prepare for the worst but hope for the best. After surviving the worst storms in history, anything seems possible. Yesterday I spent hours petitioning my mother OYA, ruler of storms. It seems she has her own plans, of course. But I saw heavy rains, winds, and damage coming.
