i was gonna respond with likeĀ āeh itās cool, iām used to itā but like the more i think about it the more fucked up it is that that was my default response. i just... i dunno. i donāt wanna claim iām a perfect person, yknow? iām not, like... iām a naturally flawed human being who was also raised in a flawed society and iām sure i have a lot of internalized issues, and so i donāt wanna say iām perfect and that iāll never fuck up or do anything wrong, you know? i certainly donāt want to fuck up or harm anyone, but iām not going to claim itās an impossibility or that i am a Pure Human. but seeing a bunch of tweets being likeĀ āwants to bet sarah z is the next person exposed as a secret bigot lolā and shit like that does just kinda suck because it seems like people... want me to be some secretly evil person? and itās definitely something iāve kind of taken for granted at this point, like people will hate you for no reason if youāre prominent at all online. and thatās fine! people are welcome to hate me for no reason. i put myself out there online, i have to accept that some folks will just find me annoying and unbearable and thatās okay and thatās their prerogative. but what i donāt like is people who seem so gleeful at the prospect that i might be some secretly evil person and harm people so their dislike of me can be validated. and again iām not going to claim thereās no chance iāll ever say or do something shitty, although i genuinely donāt want to and would never do so on purpose. but it does frustrate me how much some people not only want to see me fail, but want to see my entire being exposed as some secret evildoer. like, if you think iām an annoying and unbearable human thatās your prerogative, thatās fine, i get it. but i really donāt like theĀ ālol letās cancel sarah z next, lol letās try to expose sarah z nextā stuff. makes it really clear that for the people making those tweets itās not about actually helping people so much as just an entertaining way to dunk on someone who annoys you.

Yeah misdirected salt ends up being a weird issue...I think maybe it's done in an attempt to "disown" Astruc and eliminate him from the discussion but like it's still the wrong conclusion to come to
*nodnod* As much as I dislike him, hes a very crucial part of the equation when discussing the show, so its quite confusing or frustrating to see otherwise.
I think the way the movie really worked with the "high fantasy with birds" aspect was great. Stuff like how the great tree has a pulley elevator system for chicks and Ezylryb's entire room in general. Much as I could go on about how the movie characterized Twi and Digger I loved Twi's lute it's just fun letting the owls have more musical instruments
oh gosh yes, the design of the tree was probably my favorite part. as a kid it was the best thing to see, it really captured the magic i felt as a kid when reading the books and then seeing the movie. it also kind of helped me picture the tree in a way that made sense for the massive amounts of owls supposedly living there, as before i really only had the imagery that it was a large normal sized tree lol.
i also agree w Twilight, i mean yes there is a LOT they took out of their characters lmao but i liked the idea of Twilight having an instrument for real- and additionally all the other more āadvancedā tools and things they had at the tree. details like that kinda pulled together that high fantasy vibe a lot more.
