This devotion unfortunately does contain side effects— most prominent of such has to be the feral anticipation settling like a knot in one's stomach awaiting each chapter and the empty voidless hunger that occurs after you're done with a chapter because you cant clear your memory and reread everything like the first time.

how long do you foresee your fic This Devotion May Contain Side-effects being? or do you just have a rough timeline?
I’m not sure ahh, do you think it’s moving too slow? I worry about that. If each chapter stays around 8-10K, w ~25 chapters worth of plot planned so far?
The rest I have sketched out but I don’t know if that’s too long. . Should I split it up? Or does it not matter to readers? I wouldn’t want to put anyone off… 😭
I’m trying hard not to be too panicked about it being too long, as I deal w that stress with my original work . So this is a little self indulgent.

By the time week-three rolled around, Violet had stopped wishing Viktor good health and started threatening him with it. Today’s note read, in bright red marker: GET BETTER FASTER. I AM WAITING… Yesterday’s card read: YOU COULD BE LESS SICK, followed by a neon heart. There was an attempt at glitter.
