i am uncomfortable with certain doubles, but typically always willing to make exceptions (i like making friends, sue me)

so i was like. maybe 8? or about to be. and i REALLY wanted to be a pegasus knight bc y'know, what's cooler than going into battle on a pegasus?? that's right, NOTHING according to my 8 year old mind

i'd practically begged mother to let me see a pegasus up close for YEARS at that point and finally she arranges it with sumia for me (blessings be unto those generous women for this btw). i was SO EXCITED i could barely sleep the day mother told me i'd get to do it

once we get there the next day, sumia has her pegasus ready for the whole "get used to this new person" deal and i'm practically vibrating with how enthused i am by the whole situation bc PEGASUS TIME!!

i'm able to calm down enough to approach the pegasus as sumia reminds me to, but next thing i know, the damn pegasus freaks out when i get close to it and nearly attacks me! sumia had to jump in between us so i wouldn't get hurt and she's just PROFUSELY apologizing to mother and i for what happened since, apparently, the only person her pegasus ever got that riled by for getting too close was uncle chrom. she says she doesn't understand why that happened since i was a girl and pegasi usually don't. just do that?? randomly?? to girls
