#overview progress

take this, my humble followers

(note: i just edited this post to include the second panel now since i finished it so just pretend like the part where i mention the second panel not being done yet isn’t there)

a screenshot of my canvas atm for page 6 (but the revamped version cuz the previous previews i showed like a month ago aren’t relevant anymore if you read my last post). would love to show you the entire second panel too since i kinda owe you dudes that at this point, but i haven’t drawn blu in yet so our boy andrew is just glaring at a bush lol

as you can see i haven’t added the frame in yet for the panels so some brush effects i used are leaking out near the top, it’ll be fixed in the finished version of course. i’m also gonna add all the overlays to make the time of day consistent with page 5, i just gotta keep it without the purple overlays right now so i can keep everyone’s palettes consistent (even tho i have them listed on the sides right there).

so remember that preview i drew? yeah, i got like a few panels in and then thought “but what if i d i d n ‘ t” so i didn’t.

fast forward 20 years in the future, i wake up from stasis and i say “oh yeah i have 150 followers waiting for page 6, oops, might wanna work on that” i whipped out my pen redid the entire sixth page layout changed the style again, stripped andrew of his circle privelleges and made him into a triangle man, made him hairer and enhanced that hot gay dad vibe of his and i i just went to town

so this is gonna take a little while longer but trust me this new style looks bomb as hell and painting these panels is actually a bit faster than just plain coloring for me, and when it’s not it’s at the very least more fun so i think i might stick to that

i changed the background art style this time, and in my opinion it is so much better and easier, i really like it (i’m very very close to finishing the page, one and a half panel backgrounds left + text boxes)
