Started Chimera Squad finally, after like a year of being late to the party, initial thoughts:
1. oh my god its actually obscene how much better this runs than xcom 2. Like oh my god . like fuck it may actually be hard to go back on that front
2. I am significantly worse at this than the standard gameplay (and that's okay!)
3. Kelly being your director is cute and I like it :) (whaddya want me to say. xcom having recurring characters rules actually and adds a nice lil touch to these cheesy aliems game's stories)
4. okay so long war is canon right? cause chimera squad confirms the loss was on month 3, but templar lore in wotc confirms an experimental psionics program, so that doesn't add up in vanilla, so, long war real?? canonically you psi rushed hard in long war, ate shit for it, and died. cool.
