BREAKING NEWS: FAMILY TREE OVERSIGHT
The feature added to Living the Dream that helps prevent some unfortunate situations may not be working entirely as intended.
It's been reported by some players that despite having flags set for siblings, parents, etc for characters in the game, there are some cases where the children born on the island do not automatically have these set in place. Leading to the potential of accidental incest.
This feels like a particularly egregious oversight, as the game only acknowledges relationships set by the player if the Miis move in together. For some, it seems it doesnt stick if they don't move in together or are a tangentially related relative
It's advised to double check the relationships of children born to Miis on your island to assure there isnt going to be any accidents. At least until Nintendo issues a fix.
They recently updated the game to 1.0.1 with bug fixes, so a fix is likely in the future.
Until then, keep this oversight in mind if you plan on letting your Miis have children or if they already have children.
