I’m Salty!
I got a quintuple kill as Solider 76 during a Competeive Match!! I was being super sneaky and used my ultimate at the perfect time and it lead to a team kill!
BUT It wasn’t POTG, it lost to a Bastion that sat on the payload and killed three people.
It also didn’t save as a highlight!!
‘BOUT TO CALL JEFF!!!!
I had 21 eliminations, took out their Mercy three times in a row. But clearly, I have no skill.
QP is like that now because people needed somewhere to practice Competitive without the risk of losing rank. You could always play Arcade's "No Limit."
You didn’t read the post did you? The No Limits game mode is gone. It has ceased to be. They replaced it with Total Mayhem which is nothing like No Limits.
I didn’t buy Overwatch to be safe target practise for salty crybabies who are scared of losing Competitive score. I bought the game because it turned out to be fun to play after I got to test it. And I liked QP because I got to try silly strategies and compositions because everyone was allowed to relax and have fun. QP was the place you went when you wanted to kick back, learn new Heroes with other players, troll other players, or be trolled by other players, and walk out without feeling robbed of a good time.
You ever see that “Gentlemen, I like Brawl” comic? That’s what QP was for me. I relished in the madness and panic. I liked 6 Winstons storming the point and pushing my group out with a never-ending Primal Rage spam. I liked 3 McCree fucking me over whenever I tried to play Pharah. I loved it when I had to find creative ways to push through a 6-stack of Mei who would constantly freeze everyone. I avoid Competitive play because I hate having to deal with people telling me what to do just so they can get a useless virtual golden gun for their Hanzo.
It was all in good fun, and more often than not, once the fun factor wore off, people started taking the match seriously again and switched to better Heroes once the other team started employing counters.
If players desperately needed to play serious, that is what Competitive mode was for. We’d even tell people to “take it to Comp” when they would get salty because their team wouldn’t play Meta, or picked off Meta Hereos in QP.
