We are finding some very scenic wild places to camp while touring the PNW. This is one example with the Straight of Juan De Fuca right out our slider door. Across the straight is Canada. It's so wonderful to be exploring new places. The downside is we are seeing lots of impact of all the new campers as a result of COVID. We are finding lots of human waste, toilet paper, and trash. Coincidentally, We just listened to @overlandjournal podcast with @scott.a.brady and Alison DeLapp. Alison is the director of The Overland Expo Foundation, an organization to protect resources and access to places like this. This is so needed and we want to help. We can no longer dig catholes and bury human waste in these popular spots with this density of visitors. We need to push for everyone to pack out their poo in some sort of system like a wag bag or toilet system like our @winnebagorvs Revel has. This will be one major step to ensure that these areas stay open for us to camp in. I hope we can educate the newcomers to the outdoors that trashing these places will get us all kicked out and we won't have access to our public lands.
