#overcompensating

Eventually I enjoyed Overcompensating pretty much, I like most of the main characters (they even showed Grace more and she doesn’t annoy much anymore; also I llloved George!!). Good for her to choose herself. Also as for Carmen, I didn’t get why she needed that last kiss, there was no chemistry (and there was one with Peter) like at all, but it worked for drama, gotta give them that.

The cast in general is fire! I absolutely love Benito as an actor, he’s so cool! I checked and didn’t find anything much to watch with him more, same for his writing. So ig now it’s only s2 to wait for.

As for s2, I still feel like Miles’s romantic line with Benny isn’t over (probably), and he can end up in a square with him, George and Sammy. (I still ship them with Sammy the most, and then mb George) I guess that would be such a drama too and so many possibilities for him to fuck up… At the same time, feels like Benny should move on from Miles, and George will not trust Benny that easily. I could’ve said the same about Sammy, but well, he didn’t reject Benny (and that kinda surprised me). I’m not sure that I like that unclear zone they are in, but I hope it’ll be fine. Their chemistry is fucking peak, and I liked Sammy pretty much 🩵

firstly, no one saw that coming, but suddenly Pete x Carmen make all the sense. Pete x Grace as Gatsby and Daisy kinda suit each other, but ig it’s a beautiful metaphor for the past them, the same as G&D worked only in the past. They looked like a good couple (for each other) (both being nasty but who cared), but even if they get back together I don’t see a point. what would change?

meanwhile, Pete and Carmen suddenly showed cool chemistry in the ending of 1x04. and even a connection in 1x05. Although Pete is still an asshole, so ig that’s a path to make.

Also Benny x Miles… not that I’m too surprised, Miles was depicted quite detached, and when this episode maximised all the romantic innuendoes, it has started to feel sus and that was correct. Tbh not that I liked Miles that much to get upset about it, but still welp.

Also… since the very first “kiss” flashback I’ve been waiting for Lukas Gage to enter the scenery. And when for some reason Benny liked Miles, I was like?? You used LG just for a flashback before making Benny like another guy? Now, I believe we’ll get to see LG, and that’s a very good news to me! Idk, if it happens this season, but I hope it happens anyway. A while back I found this series exactly bc he was in the cast of this project! That would be sad not to find him there at all

However, I do like the show anyway, even without him. But maybe so far not that much as I’d like to like it, you know? But I have three more episodes, so let’s see. This one, 1x05, was promising.
