I’ve never heard the theory that wands of the same wood and core would amplify each other’s magic, but that’s a really cool idea. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case, with the similar energies feeding off each other.

And of course, given how many different combinations of wood and core there are, not to mention wand length and flexibility seems to play a part, it’s not likely two people who work so closely together would have wands that similar. So it would really be an unusual situation, but it could definitely account for part of their success!

Also we know that wands with cores from the same creature have a very special relationship - is that what you meant by twin wands? Or just that they have the same type of core?

This is a very interesting, if probably muse-specific, headcanon and I, for one, am happy to accept it!

William Marshall - OC Auror. A contemporary of the Marauders and a smol messy nerd. Half-Muggle, orphan, and fiercely anti-purist, also an expert at Transfiguration and one of the UK’s seven registered Animagi of the 20th century. I have been writing him for over 7 years now and spent a long time fleshing out his backstory. Usually write Marauder-era but can easily write any period after that as well. Subsidiary muses include bestie Jason Argyle, Jason’s little sister Elizabeth, and William’s children Chris and Ruth, contemporaries of the Golden Trio.

Andromeda Black/Tonks - I have been writing Andromeda for 3 years now and am more than happy to write any point from her childhood and schooldays right up to post-Battle of Hogwarts. Plenty of headcanons available on request. :P

Remus Lupin - Remus is another muse I’ve had for about 3 years. I’m always willing to try stuff out from pretty much any point in his life. My tol little werewolf bby. Would particularly enjoy writing him with the Marauders but also second-war era.

Gideon Wilkes - semi-OC Death Eater. Young(ish) pureblood, joined the ranks during the first war and was very loyal. Evaded arrest after the war ended and rejoined the cause on Voldemort’s return. Also built up an excellent career as an architect and used this plus the family name to wield influence in the Ministry. Subsidiary muse is his daughter Rebecca, contemporary of the Golden Trio. I have been writing Gideon for 3 years. Can write Gideon in any era from the first war onward, Rebecca from the Golden Trio era onward.

Hmmmm good question. Neville’s really never had much of a romantic arc in canon beyond being suggested as someone girls settled for if they couldn’t get anyone better (which is total bullshit, he’s amazing) or just paired off with Luna so as to get the “spares” out of the way. I guess I don’t really have any specific ships for him but if I saw one in RP that seemed to really have a spark I would ship it no question

My non-romantic OTP for this character:

Opposite problem here: too many! XD I guess I like his friendship with Ginny especially out of all the canon ones, and I definitely wish there’d been more between Neville and his parents (hint to y’all, my Frank is ready).

When it comes to my personal RP experience, though, I love the odd friendship that’s sprung up between him and my OC Rebecca too.

My unpopular opinion about this character:
