Won't be putting everything here, though I might share the lore/and or ideas as I have been doing. (I have no one to directly ramble to about Metamorphosis's story..) but been adding on to Valdis.

I have given the Nedrian people blood magic which I'll have to develop further. And the other protagonists though normal people do have important roles (i think) on Nedrian. (They just ain't the core of the story, Cerebrum and Valdis are.) One protagonist is the prince to the kingdom of Nedrian, the other is an astronomer (linking them to research of the void/The Aetherfold from afar) and the last protagonist is a apprentice still learning the culture and power of blood magic.

Spoilers: Valdis meets the prince first, than the others who are connected to the prince. I still got to develop and name the other protagonists themselves and Nedrian so it ain't just some random world that's going to die.

and uh!! i need to figure out how i'd even include rune in the story again, I may have to scrap Rune's character returning and Cerebrum feeling unexplained guilt/unease around him.. This is simply because Rune ain't from Nedrian. (The world the main story takes focus on due to Valdis running away and finding themself on Nedrian) It sucks that I'll probably have to scrap the idea of Cerebrum and Rune meeting again but yeah uh.. Trying to place Rune in Nedrian would not work because Rune's world was getting consumed by The Aetherfold and attacked by Cerebrum.

ok so, since Kieran is based off a butterfly (simply no particular butterfly though) and the universe the story I've been working on ideas + lore for is called Metamorphosis (fancy word for change, ig? since the whole story with cerebrum + valdis and others is all about inevitable change + reincarnation and consumption idk) i was thinking i could also base the rest of metamorphosis's gods after insects?? with wings in particular maybe. but idk how many insects exist with wings and it'd be cool if the insects go through the lil butterfly thing where they go through metamorphosis.. but im uneducated and assume only moths and butterflies go through that

also i have the idea that Kieran's personality was much more positive until they unintentionally created The Aetherfold and got abandoned and outcasted by the other gods. However Kieran's original personality is fractured when they where prematurely reincarnated and became Cerebrum and Valdis. Bc Kieran mostly had good traits (i do wanna try giving them flaws bc i struggle with giving ocs with mostly good traits flaws..) Kieran was basically well-liked amongst the other gods till they ''ruined'' everything.

I say ruined in quotes because none of the gods, including Kieran knew The Aetherfold after consuming (and recycling) Metamorphosis would lead to basically a infinite life cycle. pretty much.. Also, Kieran didn't know their abilities (havent developed why they wouldnt, but i have a thought that the gods took turns creating a world and people to inhabit it. simply it wasnt Kieran's turn yet so Kieran did not use their powers.)

Kieran unknowingly ig is also the god of death and rebirth?? Since all the other gods only created, Metamorphosis needed a god of death basically for the most part. Something to destroy life but give way to new life technically? idk, the explanation may be a lil weird because The Aetherfold doesn't create new life, it recycles old life and gives it new bodies. (People particularly) and it's imperfect too, the past is not suddenly erased during the universe's ''rebirths'' so ruins still exist. Just no ''new''/reincarnated people will remember what in the world they meant due to being stripped of memory.

uhh, brain's going blank again.. OH WAIT i forgot to mention.

The other gods never get rebirthed because like in my other universe (Quidvispirat, completely unrelated to Metamorphosis but same rule applies in Metamorphosis pretty much) when gods die they have no ''afterlives''. Kieran's reincarnations technically not even a afterlife, just a result of letting themself get consumed and die by The Aetherfold then end up getting prematurely recycled due to The Aether.. Also it's still not developed yet, but the other gods died basicaly bc they ended up fighting eachother. (I tbh think that Kieran probably was the one that kept everyone together ironically?? bc Kieran was observant of the others emotions/things in general, a playful and confident person -maybe even charmastic unintentionally bc of it??- and empathetic) i havent developed why they basically went to war though soo.. But they don't exist anymore bc they didn't die in the manner Kieran did..

AHEM. yknow who atp i keep drawing him and barely anybody else.. But maybe i'll learn the power of consistency if I draw him a million times (ok maybe not that many times, i will certainly not enjoy drawing him if i drew him a million times)

just putting down the ones I have currently, there may eventually be more. I just wanna develop the story going on in Metamorphosis as much as I can tbh. (I don't think I've ever put so much thought into a story but I love these OCS.)

When The Aether reigns and proclaims themselves as gods of Metamorphosis, they indoctrinate the reincarnated masses into following their beliefs and ideologies, and they particularly convince the masses that they control The Aetherfold. (This is a lie, The Aetherfold is a force of nature created unintentionally by Kieran, a dead god.) However during their reign, reincarnated people would disappear (non-believers, or those questioning The Aether) and it'd be blamed on divine judgement.

Cerebrum, would be set up by The Aether as one of their most ''devoted followers'', and have Cerebrum set an example for their followers. (I believe even after The Aether had used Cerebrum as their weapon, that they'd continue to manipulate him. Hence why Cerebrum doesn't actually destroy everything so soon. It's a buildup of things but I haven't developed ''what things'', yet.) This is before The Aether starts disregarding Cerebrum and what Cerebrum was to them.

Valdis finds the other 3 reincarnated protagonists via the fact they out of all the reincarnated masses seek to rebel against The Aether, and similarly to Valdis could be aware that The Aether is just manipulating (and likely killing off certain ''followers) with the claim that they are gods. Valdis probably hides out during the bad ending cycle due to The Aether likely knowing Valdis would be alive again during the universe's rebirth.

This is already canon/a scene technically I guess? But it's important. Valdis and the 3 unnamed underdeveloped (still, im so sorry to these 3 protagonists atm) protagonists make their way to put a end to The Aether's reign in whichever way they can only to find that The Aether was killed via Cerebrum already. This is before Cerebrum triggers The Aetherfold and destroys/resets everything. I haven't came to a clear conclusion on why Valdis is aware that Cerebrum is about to destroy everything and everyone and tries to stop him because of that, but that happens. Similarly to last time, Valdis fails to reach Cerebrum and everyone is consumed by The Aetherfold, excluding Cerebrum till he dies himself by his own hands (literally).

Cerebrum's meltdown is already canon, results in the death of the universe and everyone. (But technically not?? Since The Aetherfold recycles in response to EVERYTHING being destroyed. Idk, it was the way Cerebrum did it/the fact he did it in the first place that's problematic bc really only The Aether had to die.. Not everyone else.) He sortof just breaks because being a weapon was his whole identity and that was stripped from him/he was just a tool, and The Aether were his creators/used him.

when I get alot of ideas I may post them. I wanna add more to bad ending. Like what Cerebrum does, what The Aether does, what Valdis (and the other protagonists does, if I find out how to make them important without giving them their memories of before the 1st cycle/bad ending cycle back in some form) i mean I already got a basis.

ok so basically, idk.. this post is just going to be rambling about valdis and cerebrum and a thing i picture in my head idk (i wish i could animate their story so bad lol)

basically uhm, cerebrum and valdis literally have a enemies to ''odd friends'' arc (in story continuation) idk how to describe what i mean by odd in particular, but they ain't rlly close. ig more like mutuals that are somehow also friends but ehhh?? valdis has a very detached personality, and cerebrum struggles to understand whatever emotions he can actually feel (that dont include sadness, empathy, sympathy but he can feel stuff like guilt and regret, it just tends to be selfish bc of how he was fragmented idk). Valdis can probably read cerebrum well but that doesnt matter too much bc valdis is the worst person you could go to for comfort bc they dont know how to comfort..

idk how to describe their relationship since they kinda just coexist and cerebrum refuses to be open (tho tbh, he doesnt try too hard to hide how he feels?? idk, i draw him looking nervous alot usually in story continuation and his antenna also just give him away, hes just not verbally honest and a very ''i can handle this myself'' type of person)

i was thinking up the reason to how they would even become ''friends'' / mutuals whatever or why valdis doesn't hate cerebrum's guts for uhm killing them in the main story and bad ending cycle and thats bc idk valdis sees cerebrum through the perspective of.. the fact both of them were just used by The Aether, cerebrum perhaps moreso being their grand ol weapon they'd use till cerebrum fulfilled his ''purpose'' and the aether declared themselves as gods.. and uhm, cerebrum finally realizes hes just a tool his whole identity was just being a tool. basically valdis kindof sees cerebrum as a victim of manipulation (at least to some extent idk its probably complicated.. since cerebrum did destroy everything on purpose in the bad ending cycle bc he had no purpose to exist anymore)

speaking of that, valdis in both main story and bad ending cycle does try reaching out to cerebrum, first to make him aware he was being used (which fails) and second to just.. try stopping him from destroying everything and everyone (tho idk if valdis knew that cerebrum was gonna kill himself too) which also fails.. idk, i imagine cerebrum did look at valdis before valdis got consumed fully by the aetherfold bc thats what cerebrum did, trigger the aetherfold which consumed everything and everyone but not cerebrum untill cerebrum did a blow to himself by squashing the only thing that'd kill him thats inside of him uh yeah. valdis still tried reaching out (both physically and verbally)

also both remembr all this shit!! so, idk theres probably alot of feelings that'll nver be expressed between them two tbh. cerebrum is very haunted by his own actions (whether they were influenced or not by the aether, esp since his 2nd act of destroying everything was actually his own choice) that why i kinda just say that cerebrum cant be rlly redeemed, or at least not in the traditional way at all?? redeeming him just feels off tbh, so i believe he can only change. but that is all. afterall no one but valdis remembers cerebrum's actions in metamorphosis and like imagine some dude tryna say sorry for killing you and shit like you dont even remember/or know this guy wtf is he on?? is that guy ok?? fucking crazy dude.. so obiv cerebrum cant rlly make it up to the victims of his mass murdering and universal destruction

srry this is all poorly written and explained tbh idgaf rn and just spewing bullshit out my mouth about these two. but yeah!! uh, everythin is still in development too.. tbh i wish i knw how to make main story more interesting since its kinda just bad guys win, world gets rborn, bad guys declare themselves as gods, their own weapon kills them, everyone and itself. then uhm.. the somewhat good ending happens because NO MORE THE AETHER!! tbh that may be the only good thing besides everyone being alive again along with the universe bc the aetherfold just recycled it. so it exists again.. also cerebrum starts suffering but rlly only in the somewhat good ending, its funny bc its suh slice of life energy like nothing bad is happenning (ignore the aetherfold IGNORE THE AETHERFOLD!!!! bc its dormant but can reset everyone and everything at any time tbh.. like cerebrum proved that but hes also just like heavily connected to the aetherfold so uh idk)
