The Dias family moved from the bright and busy New York City when Vanessa was sixteen years old. After the downfall of her fathers company it brought them back to his hometown of Cotton Plant, Arkansas. It was quite the transition for the family to be in a small town but the excitement sure did some with them due to their firecracker of a daughter. Vanessa managed to fit in perfectly, like she always did in every situation. Although in her heart she always planned to go back.

Vanessa  had also always lived her life knowing how to stand her ground and how to manipulate others so she could get what she wanted. This helped the new girl gain great popularity. Although her attitude wasn’t the only thing that gained her popularity her looks were also a great benefit. Despite her stereotypical rich and spoiled girl persona she was really good-hearted and loyal. This led her to have many friends and her fair share of best friends within her first year of being the new girl.

The family was lucky enough to still be able to have a fairly good income coming in from savings and grandparents but the family still had to build themselves up from the slump meaning that their children who were once able to live without a worry were working and being taught how to possible someday work in the family business if it continues to grow successfully. This puts pressure on the kids to try to be the best although the need to break free is strong in Vanessa but so is the need to be loyal to her family.

Although staying loyal isn’t easy when deep down she has had a growing love for performing and modeling. When she ended up breaking the news to her parents that this is what she wanted to do with her life she was lucky enough to be welcomed with open arms. After graduation she made her way back to her home of New York in hopes of starting a career. But she soon learned that she wasn’t getting roles and jobs for her talent but for her name. And unfortunately it ended up being the same for the romance department, a three year relationship and then engagement ended up being from a family that use to be a competitor of her father who wanted an eye on the inside.

After all of this drama she couldn’t take looking at the city any longer and headed back to Cotton Plant where things were always calm and where she always felt welcomed for being herself and not just her fathers daughter. After her twenty third birthday she made her way back to the city and got herself her own apartment. Even though she was gone for five years she finally feels relaxed and back to her normal self.
