2011 Our6thMan Fantasy Football Draft Lottery Show

Christian Lopez is the man who caught Derek Jeter's 3k homerun ball. In return Lopez asked for nothing but to give the ball to Jeter himself.

Lopez is a 23 year old cell phone salesman from Highland Hills, NY. His girlfriend bought him his ticket for $65 off of stubhub for his birthday. Early speculations have the ball estimated at $400K but Lopez was not interested in money. 

Lopez Said this:

"He worked so hard for this. It wasn’t about the money it was a milestone. Mr. Jeter deserved it and I’m not going to take it away from him...Money would be cool, but I'm 23 years old, I have plenty of time to make money."

After the game Lopez and his family were escorted to the Yankees clubhouse where they met Our6thMan's Jay Z, Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson, and of course Jeter. After returning the ball to Jeter, the Yankees made sure Lopez did not go home empty handed.

Lopez recieved four suite level tickets for all remaining home games, including playoffs. He recieved a variety of Yankees memorabilia including hats, balls, jerseys, bats, etc, and tomorrow he will sit in the front row of the Legends Suite section for the fianl game of the series.

Along with all the goodies from the Yankees, a group of people on Facebook have started a "Let's raise $300k for Christian Lopez Fund.

Going to refrain from any negative comments about this one.

The presentation of the award is at 3:00 p.m (pacific) today live from Staples. In a press conference Lamar Odom will officially be awarded the NBA's 6th man of the year.

The 6th Man Award is given to the best player to come in as a reserve more games than he starts. Odom started 35 games and entered off the bench in 47.

Odom averaged 14.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and three assists per game while shooting 53 percent from the field, the highest shooting mark of his 12-year career.
