Shock. Her body was riddled with it, frozen as she sat on the edge of her bed clutching her scorched helmet in trembling hands. Several Resistance members including Alida had been on that First Order ship, extracting one of their own from the interrogation rooms, about to reach the ships when they had been fired on. And she ended up face to face with a pilot dressed in all black who had yet to put on her helmet, one that had almost killed her had another rebel not pulled her out of the way in time. Every Resistance leader had told her a hundred times over that her mother was murdered years ago. Her own father made sure she knew her mother was gone, dead and never coming home. And now, she found out that her mother was alive? All this time, she had been a member of the First Order, a traitor to each person in her life, especially Alida and her father. Alida wished her mother was dead...this? This was so much worse. The worst of it was, everyone the blonde flygirl had ever known had lied to her. Her only remaining parent, her Uncle Wedge, General Organa...Poe...

Silent tears drifted down pale cheeks as her ears picked up a knock on her door, the sound almost as though it came from lightyears away. Hours had passed since returning to the base, and her room was the first and only place she could go, unmoving even now as someone stood outside waiting to enter.
