โWellโฆI donโt think I misspoke, but Iโll say it again if you really want me toโฆโ Ocean eyes gleamed with a playful tease, not a hint of malice in her tone. โYou.Snore.โ Lips formed a feisty smile as she slid his mug of ale towards him. โYou sound like a bloody bear. Mallen and I overheard you while we were on watch. Itโs just something I figured Iโd bring to your attention before the others found out. If they donโt already know by now, that is.โ
Despite his excellent hearing, thanks to the curse that had become the life he now led, even he wasn't sure he heard her correctly. It's why he asked, why he turned to face her in his chair with crossed arms and a slight glare. His golden eye watching her as she seemed to be enjoying this. "I don't snore." Mattias counters, harshly picking up the mug of ale and taking a large sip before roughly placing it back down on the table in the tavern. "You might have heard one of the horses." He shifts, leaning back in his chair. "Or you're just looking for something to bother me."
"Hmm. No?" Quirk of a brow, the genasi pressed her fingers around her own mug of coffee and twisted her mouth to the side for a moment. Her eyes glanced over his surly early morning features, trying to get a read on him before glancing sideways at her small dragon.
"Show him," she suggested in Draconic before the little beast began imitating the half-orc to the best of his ability. She had been in the middle of lifting her drink to her lips but began to laugh, nearly spilling her drink in the process. "Okay, okay...maybe don't quit your day job, Mallen..." Grinning up at Mattias, she set her mug down and shrugged. "I'll let it go for now. Not trying to bother you, just pointing it out. We all have our quirks. How's the ale?" Perhaps changing topics would calm his annoyance, as they'd most likely be off on the road soon, and the last thing they needed was tension while traveling.
