Posted @withregram • @fiatfarmrussell The chickens are playing musical chairs! 🐓 🎶 🪑 From their first home in the barn, the growing chicks are being moved onto the grass for the first time, while the laying hens get comfy in a different part of the pasture. When they get older the chicks will become the pastured, non-GMO chicken that will be ready for pick up over the next few months. At Fiat Farm we feel it’s important for people to know where their meat is coming from, and how well the animals are looked after in our care. This is where our chickens were put at the end of last season. All their tilling and fertilizing makes a visible difference in the health of our soil! This is a big part of the reason we pasture our chickens. It’s a win-win! Healthier soil, healthier chickens, healthier meat, healthier us!
