Everything is politics. There are a lot of tarpaulins and faces of politicians that are trying to persuade the minds of voters. Here in our country, there are two leading parties that badly want to have senatorial seat but it is questionable if they really want to serve the people. Different platforms and advocacies are presented by the two parties, but how can they bring change in the Philippines?
Hugpong ng Pagbabago is a regional political party in the Philippines and formed by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte in 2018. Jinggoy Estrada, Francis Tolentino, Jv Ejercito, Cynthia Villar, Koko Pimentel, Bong Go, Bong Revilla, Jiggy Manicad, Sonny Angara, Imee Marcos, Harry Roque, Jr., Pia Cayetano, Bato Dela Rosa and Zajid Mangdadatu. As this senatorial candidates says that this political party has the objective to pursue the ideals of what we all want, a strong region, a secure life of the constituents, good governance and effective leadership.
Otso Diretso, the eight opposition senatorial candidates, Magdalo representative Gary Alejano, incumbent senator Paolo Bam Aquino, former congressman Lorenzo Erin Tañada, human rights lawyer Jose Chel Diokno, Marawi civic leader Samira Gutoc, former interior secretary Manuel Mar Roxas, elections lawyer and legal counsel to the Vice President, Romy Macalintal, and former solicitor general Florin Pilo Hilbay. They could be the minority in the senate with limited powers, but they have the qualities that are needed to subvert authoritarianism and overthrow dictatorship.
