Kay gripped the phone in her hands, sighing at the tall, icy man beside her. "Amy, it's Kay. Hideki cut off my date with Tamo saying you were having dog training issues? Is everything ok?" She asked, side eyeing the grumpy man between her and her man
“He did WHAT?!” Amy covered her face with her free hand. “Oh my god...”
“Yeah, I was surprised because I didn’t know you were getting a dog,” Kay continued, the cold voice of Hideki in the background countered by Tamo’s warm baritone. “I figured you would have called me if you were in the market for one since there’s lots at the shelter I work at that could use a good home.”
“We didn’t get a dog, he’s talking about Cerb,” Amy sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose in exasperation.
Kay tried to stifle her giggles, which unfortunately caused her to snort. “Oh my god, is this seriously about him being jealous over Cerberus? Imma pee!”
“Yes, and I’m glad you find this so amusing,” Amy retorted. “I can’t believe Hideki is going to my friends with this, talk about hitting below the belt!”
“I think there’s someone else he’d really like to hit below the belt,” Kay teased before falling into another fit of giggles.
“Kay! Whose side are you on anyway?”
Kay recovered, but only slightly. “I know I shouldn’t laugh but you really have your hands full with this. I actually feel a little sorry for you.”
“Yeah...a very little I see,” Amy snarked back.
Kay coughed. “Well, don’t worry too much, looks like Tamo has calmed him down some. I’ll see if I can scrounge some pudding for him too. But if you need a place to lay low for a while you’re welcome to stay with us til this blows over.”
“Thanks, I appreciate the offer,” Amy sighed. “But I gotta stick this out. The harem is going crazy and I can’t just leave them like this.”
“Crazy?” Kay asked innocently. “Would you even say they’re going...BANANAS?”
