Inspriation for vulcano shape in the exibition

The museum uses light in many different ways, the most important is to highlight the objects. However, the museum also uses light as titels to introduce a new theme. Or big lightboxes where objects are displayed in, to grab the visitors attention. They also use a lot of light projections with the use of beamers to provide information, as text but also on objects like the hand (top middle in the moodboard).

Besmet! (Contagious!) is an exposition about the outbreaks of contagious diseases and the effects n daily life. The exposition has a combination of scientific work and art works. The exposition is set up with a lot of red colours and uses hospital protection like the strip curtain, plastic screens and barrier tape to create a unity between the collection and the layout.

Museum Boerhaave is a museum with a big collection about science and medicine. They have a lot of tools and information combined with projections, games, touchscreens and interactive elements. The Anatomical Theatre is a replica of an old anatomical theatre and introduces the visitor to the museum.

For adults the museum offers more in-depth information in the collection via the textual information signs and videos. Naturalis also has a dino-lab where the visitior can see and connect with researchers working on dinosaur research.
