may i request doll au albedo and otherbedo (the prototype one in the mountain)? why do you think there are two albedos in this au? and are they hostile to each other somehow?

Ok so Otherbedo was originally created as a test for the real Albedo. You had a couple new techniques you wanted to try out, but didn’t want to have the actual doll be a first attempt, so you obviously had to make a practice doll. This resulted in the creation of Otherbedo
Because it was your first attempt at certain techniques, the doll has a lot of flaws and couldn’t be sold. But the practice helped you make the real Albedo to ship off to the customer! You were then left with a doll that had too many issues to be salvaged for parts, so you decided to keep it and use it as sort of a mannequin. You use it to test the fit and drape of outfits or testing different jewellery and what pairs together nicely. Otherbedo obviously loves this attention. Despite his imperfections, you still view him as good enough to use as an assistant of sorts
So imagine how he feels when Albedo is returned to you, and he starts getting ‘preferential treatment’. You’re not planning on scrapping the Albedo doll, since you’re hoping he’ll be able to resell. Instead, you’re using him in a similar vein as Otherbedo. This is mainly just to help keep him from gathering dust and be able to check his mobility isn’t deteriorating, but you can’t help but favour using him over Otherbedo. After all, Albedo is much easier to pose, has more movement in general, and doesn’t have random dents and tiny bubbles running throughout his mould which could affect the overall look of what you’re testing
There’s kind of a one sided feud going on, since Otherbedo is most certainly angry at Albedo for taking his role, the only thing that was keeping your attention on him. Meanwhile, Albedo couldn’t care less about Otherbedo, knowing that he doesn’t pose much of a threat to him. But he may often make subtle jabs towards Otherbedo to rile him up even more. You might want to move the to Bedo’s to seperate rooms unless you want them to start properly fighting each other in your absence
